Where do you live? I currently go to my local gym for Aqua aerobics, I need to do that for a few months according to the Dr before I can do gym workouts. If you live near me and want to do aqua classes then I will be there with you :)

Im in the Logan area and go to the Lifestyle Womens only gym at Kingston.

Cheers
Kelly

I'd like to go to the gym or perhaps one of those mother and baby yoga classes?!?
Could be a silly question but what do you do with the baby whilst you're at the gym??
I'm from Chermside so if anyone has any ideas or wants to meet up for some sort of fitness or even just social gathering let me know...

Was just reading this thread. When I lived in Brissy I was a member of Fitness First in Carseldine. They have excellent childcare, I think 6 days a week and Monday and Wednesday nights. They have a seperate ladies gym if u dont feel comfy working out in front of the boys. They have all sorts of classes, yoga, spin, dance, pool etc. And they have treadmills with foxtel and big plasmas on the wall.

If anyone is interested in joining that particular gym just pm me, a mate of mine works there and she can probably do a deal if there is a couple of u.

Luv Kiah:hugs:

I have an appointment at Fernwood tomorrow at 9.30am... Its the Rothwell center.
Its quiet expensive though- Almost $20 a week. And its only that 'cheap' if you take out a yearly membership.

Anastasia- Alot of Gyms have childcare facilities thesedays so, seeing that I dont have anyone to watch Elsh here ( dont have family or any real friends here) she will be going into the childcare at the gym. Im going to have a good look at it tomorrow. That is my main concern, I dont want to put her in there and have her looked after at a standard I would not approve of.

Thanks for that Jessi, hmmn Ruby is only 5 months old so I'm not ready to leave her in the care of anyone quite yet... I guess gym will have to wait for me :(http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif

Yeah Elsh is only 5 and a half months old too... so, im really scared about leaving her with someone i dont know.

But I dont really have a choice, and I really want to lose this baby belly already.

I checked out the Childcare this morning, and I grilled them on their qualifications, experience and all that. They sound pretty good. And they take 15 kids MAX at anytime. (You have to book them into the care in advance) I watched them with the kids for a while and the kids were all very happy and having fun. The only thing that bothered me was that ELsh will probably be the youngest there (although they assured me that they have babies from 7weeks in there!!)

Anyways, I start on Saturday!! :smiliedance: Im so excited.

Well goodluck with the gym on Saturday then :) I'm sure your little one will be fine with the carers, I'm probably just paranoid :)
I will continue to try and hunt down some sort of group fitness activity I can do with Ruby.
