So ive been talking to a feller for a while and have just agreed to meeting him today.
We were going to have a picnic on the beach but its just going to be too hot today and DS hates the beach with a passion, hes petrified of it.

So instead we are going to meet at a cafe garden so we are under shade and DS can run about in an inclosed area.

Wish me luck girls. I try not to get too excited by dates any more becoz everytime i get excited, and then meet them, i dont feel that spark so i leave things there and we remain friends. Im still friends with the 3 men ive met since having DS but not yet anything further.

When does my luck change? LOL

Hes a nice guy, but ill let him take some time to think over it all and then ill ask him if he wants to continue on or leave it there.

I wouldnt mind seeing him again, there was a little spark there, but not enough that id jump him haha. Hes the quiter type of man and i did pre-warn him a little on the louder side of most females (as in im out spoken and say wat i think instead of sit there and look pretty) and he was still keen so we'll just see what he thinks from here.

Its harder for blokes i think, becoz they have to commit to 2 ppl, where as i only have to commit to the one.

Anyhow we will see, it went well and we have also said in the passed that if nothing else comes from it, we at least have a new friend in the area (we are both country ppl so its hard to find ppl local and hes local so yay on that note)

So i guess ill ask in a day or so, when i speak to him next, how he felt about it all. I could be too much for him to digest haha. I generally need a more outspoken man to be able to handle me hehe. :laughing:

I also dont believe in that saying about "my other half completes me." I personally believe i have to be complete within myself before i can share my life and all that entails with someone else. I can complete myself, someone else can just complete some of my life with me and DS:)

Im seeing him again on Friday. He has an RDO then so we can go out and do an all day thing. I told him that DS is in daycare friday too so we arent as limited in what we can do as i would be if he were with me,,, and he turned around and said "oh so i wont get to see the master then?"

OK so i had my 2nd date yesterday, heres the story
well my date went really well.

I met him at the cinema at half 11. He had already bought the tickets and also paid for the munchies, i wasnt allowed to buy anything. Not even a bottle of water!!
The movie was good but i was a little disappointed that it ended to abruptly. i was hoping they would show even a little on how his life dramatically improved, but it was still good and i had a few silent tears lol.

After the movie we went to lunch at his fav little restaraunt. I can understand why its his fav. Cheep prices, HUGE dishes! lol. So we sat there for maybe an 1/2 hr after our lunch and just chatted about our families and what kinda house we would love to build one day and how he'd like an archery range and id like a horse so his idea of a good few acres was well appreciated LOL. Anyhow was good.

Then we went for a stroll around the shopping center to kill some time, and ended up in the CD store. It was funny becoz we both said nearly at the same time how we wouldnt mind getting the song by Hinder "Lips of an angel" Anyhow he ended up buying the CD so i said now i dont have to buy it, ill just rip it from his cd hehe.

After that we kept on strolling through the centre a bit and then headed outside and towards the cars. As we approached the cars i said "i think our car parks were only a 2 hr limit"
Being that its country and there are always HEAPS of car parks, he didnt think we would get tickets, and i thought as well that it wouldnt matter, who polices it-seriously!
We approached my car 1st and i said jokingly, "if i have a ticket, your paying for it haha" and so we got there and i didnt. His car was only 5 cars up and he said "Oh i got one" I didnt believe him i thought he was messing about - but yes, he really DID have one! We couldnt beleive it. our cars had been there the exact amount of time! So we laughed about that and were amazed about it too, and i then said "so do i invite u back to my dump or where to from here Boss" (i call him boss becoz he is the boss at work-just got promoted last week)
He said he would love to come back and see where DS runs around, and see DS.

So we went back to my house and had about 1.5-2 hrs to just sit in the loungeroom whilst listening to his new CD and just chatted about everything and everything! was great. Then Mike (my neighbour and mothers ex hubby) popped over to say Hello and i introduced them and said to mike he could stay n chat, i had to go pick up DS from care. I couldnt take Mark with me to get DS becoz DS's daycare is on the RAAF base and Mark has no reason to be accepted for a pass. So mike stayed and chatted with him whilst i went and got DS.

Got home, chatted some more all together, then Mike left and Mark got carried away playing with DS.
DS thought he was fun too and was climbing all over him and handing him his picture book and cars all the time hehe.:thumbsup:

DSs bed time arrived so off he went. Mark asked me if i wanted him to go home, i told him whats the point in him going home to just sit alone and watch TV when if he stayed we could do that together lol.... and that if i wanted him gone i would have said so already. He said he didnt want to over stay my welcome or even get near the point where im thinking about asking him to leave. I told him to chill, i was enjoying the company. We decided some DVDs would go well so he went and got some and some takeaway dinner too. We watched the DVD and had a good old laugh and layed on the floor watching them together.

After they finished, he decided it was time to leave, and so i walked him out and we stood there beside his car looking quiet nervous and wat not. lol. Dont u hate awkward moments lmao.
Just before leaving he asked if he could kiss me and i stood up and put my arms around him as if to suggest yes and he gave me a kiss on the lips, short n fast, closed mouth style. We were both very nervous about it hehe. Also made me realise just how tall he is compared to me

And so off he went. He asked wat i had on the rest of the weekend and i said nothing so if he wants to see us again, just let me know, to which he said SMS me if your board. No you SMS me! LMAO:laughing:

So he left at 1145pm. So that made it 12 hrs with him. I feel quiet happy and content with him, aside from obviously the "1st's" like kisses, they scare the heck outa me LOL.

So that was that and you know wat, i much preferred laying on the floor watching DVDs with him all night then sitting online talking to besties with a wine in my hand :)

See girl - net dating DOES work, if you just take your time, dont rush it, and be true to who you are! If your not honest about everything and upfront, then it aint gonna work

I soooo remember those '1st' moments, I can laugh at them now. I found my DP when my Ds was 6 months old and our saga sounds a lot like yours. We were set up on a blind date but ended up spending most of the weekend together. And guess what we now have a DS and are getting married in 9 weeks. :D I know it is only early days but it sounds very promising.....Goodluck.:)

OK well not long after i wrote that update he called and we arranged another day together. we went fishing and then lunch on the beach and DS was fascinated by the seagulls going nuts around him.
Then back to my house, watched DVD's, had 2 glasses of wine together with dinner and chatted and laughed the night away.

But the thing is, this time he didnt go home 12 hrs later... Hes still here HAHAHAHA.
And no we didnt do the naughty stuff. Just shared the bed. But i tell you wat, it was super nice snuggling up to those muscles haha! :thumbsup: Hes still asleep atm.:p
