Oh no........ don't tell me you have it? I do
Symptoms include, blotaedness, cramps, diohrrea (sp?), constipation, reflux, and prob more, but can't remember any right now. It comes and goes and certain foods can bring on an attack, with me, it happens most when I eat out, esp if its something very oily and fattening. Theres no real treatment for it, you can take IBS support or Lacto Bacillus tablets. You can buy these from a chemsit or health food shop. They balance good and bad bacteria in your intestines.
You can also see a gastroenteroligist, for management of the condition, however there are no real cures as they don't know exacltly what causes it. When I saw my speciliast he put me on a really bland diet  he said most people with this condition think they need to eat healthier and have heaps of fruits and veges but this makes it worse as these foods tend to "ferment" in your intestines
hope that helps, feel free to ask more questions if you have any!
It can also be brought on by stress and often symptoms include sleeplessness due to heartburn or stomach cramps, making you even more stressed, andtherefore worsening your symptoms - so it is a bit of catch22 situation. Many IBS sufferers also report depression and anxiety related to their condition.
