Hi there!!
We're really needing money at the moment and i'm considering doing some work. I've applied for about 15 positions only but still no luck!!
thing is I want a position I can fit around the kids??maybe only weekends?? I don't want my 4 year old to miss out on kinder. He goes 4 days a week.
Any suggestions??? Share your experiences

I am currently searching for the same. I need to be home during the weekdays for the kids, but I am looking for either a few hours cleaning at night (2 hours max) or weekend work.
I have applied with coles/myer on their website which also puts you down for k-mart, target, liquour land and a heap of other stores. You put down the hours you want to work and do an online test, and wait.
I also put my name down at some factories that have a weekend crew.
I heard back from a cleaning company, unfortunatly they needed me to start at 5pm and I can't start till after 6pm...so :fingerscrossed: I hear back from the other 2 soon.

Goodluck, hope you find something suitable :)

I've just joined a nursing agency to do four hour shifts on a weekend 7-11am - perrrrfect:D I'm a registered nurse but maybe you could get similar work as a carer?

They often advertise for carers in the local newspaper or try calling a few agencies. They may want experience though:rolleyes:

Thanks for that girls.
Yeah you do find that most of them want experience. I've only got experience in coffee making. And I'm a childcare worker and that is not suitable because I don't want to leave the kids or put them in full time child care cause that just means i'll be working a whole week for $150 not worth it really I think
keep looking I guess:fingerscrossed:

i work in a daycare centre as a casual...i think the kind of jobs your talking about are rare but if you stick with it and keep applying for positions you could just get wat you need:thumbsup: best of luck with it all:yes:

I would be looking into doing a Cert III in Aged care and look at nursing homes. My hubby does this, and the pay isnt great, but weekends have good loading, same with evenings, if u wanted to work during the week.
