Who do u think will win Idol? I think it will be Emily... But then maybe it will be a suprise like last year. I think most people thought Anthony would win and he didn't.
I think they both have fantastic voices, but I think Emily has the spark for it more. The confidence. :)

Yeah, Dan was nice. A nice sweet very talented bloke. He is going to go places too I reckon. He is very John Butler-ish, and not just with the hair. The way he is as a musician.
Yeah i liked him i was stunned when he left...

The final should have been between Dan and Emily. I think Emily will win - she deserves it.

I am so with you on this. My vote goes to Kate. She was just an ordinary girl, not unlike you or I (with a bit of extra talent that's all :p), and now she has become so glamorous. I just can't get enough of her. I find her weight loss to be a real inspiration, she looks so gorgeous. Makes me want to put on some makeup for a change LOL
I like them both lol But like to see Emily win, I am just so happy Lee has gone!!

I agree about Lee. Although he seemed like a noice guy, I just didn't see him being an idol. It frustrated me that he put so much speed into songs and I, for one, couldn't keep up with it. Glad he's gone. GOOOOOOOOO Emily!
ps I don't really do reality tv, so my opinion is not very well educated :o

I like Kate - great voice, but I think Emily has got what it takes to be a world-class performer. Kate will likely go places anyway - but when it comes to World Idol, Emily is the one I would like to represent us!
Totally agree about Lee, Kaidensmum. My hubby liked him, but I thought he was a bit too much into the speed. A 'one trick pony' as Mark Holden called him. Lovely, lovely guy... but not an Idol. :rolleyes:

I'm predicting Emily will win....I'm hoping Emily will win. She just has that X factor, and although Kate is lovely, gorgeous and capable, she just doesn't have that indefinable "something" IYKWIM?
If Kate wins, I will be very happy as they are both great performers.
I love someone's comments about Lee being the "punk Wiggle" LOL! He was a fabulous performer, really engaging, but just not the voice to really make it internationally like Em.... :)

I have got 3 more books to read (YKWIM ;) ) after finishing this one, so I'm not going to have time watch tv.

Number eight this year :) Anniversary is on the 29th Nov, but Dh couldn't get time off work then, so we going this week. YAY!!! can't wait. Our room has a rooftop spa. Great place to read.

Seriously, I hope you have a lovely week. I'm very jealous. Hopefully in January, we will get some time to do the same. Would be lovely to come back to sunny Qld - haven't been home for a visit in far too long!

Tonights episode was fantastic!!! While I have been a fan of both girls through out the series i have finally decided between the two....after tonight... I want Kate to win!
I just love her rusty voice and her version of the idol single sounded better then Emily's... Don't get me wrong Emily has a powerful voice in her own right and there is no doubt that both of these girls will go far!
oh No I thought Emily really out-performed Kate tonight. How funny that we have such different taste.. I thought Kate picked really bad songs!

I agree cosmic. Sure kate can sing, but for Emily (go emily!!!), it just seems effortless, like it is soooo easy. I haven't seen any strain about Emily at all.
I think that Emily will win, she has a better voice, but tonight she didn't have much spark. I thought she might have really gone to town with the kelly clarkson song, but she just ambled around the stage looking a bit bewildered.
It's great that there are two girls there for the final though. I like these two a lot more than last years finalists.

oh yeah.. these two are much more likable than last year! Tonight I actually thought what Mark has been saying is true - Kate has a great voice, but there's not the same emotion in it. Emily really puts her heart into it.
And I do agree Wattle, I think Emily did the chorus great in that song, but the rest was a bit weak.

I just know that for once australia got it right and thankfully Lee is not in the final!!! Although it was a shame Dan got voted off...
But hats off to Kate & Emily - Emily has been consistant throughout the whole show and that may be the deciding factor... at the end of the day it comes down to who gets the most votes!
At least no matter who wins we won't end up with what happened last year! Both of these girls are stars and I would buy both of their albums!

Yeah, I was a bit disapponted in tonights show but the girls must be so nervous. Poor things. Either way, I think they will both go far. I think tomorrows show will be a goody with all those fab people performing. Hope everyone enjoys it... :D
I've liked Kate from the auditions. What gets me is - Who Votes???? How did Kasey win over Anthony or Guy over Shannon - I always thought the voters were teeny bopper girls who voted for the cutest :rolleyes:
The last two years the winner has gone on to do squat (in comparison) and the second place getter is still flying high and better known than the winner. So along those lines, I predict that Emily will win, but Kate will go on to sell more records and be better known. I think that Kate has better contacts with her family and Vynetta Fields (I remember seeing Vynetta years ago when she was singing with John Farnham - Age or Reason tour).
Hey - do we have a prize for this one if we prove to be psychic (you won't know till next year!) ;)

well it is just about finished here in perth.I have always thought Emily would win,and actually couldnt stand Kate from the start,but now i dont know!.Going to be very close!.

My vote is with KATE KATE KATE....
I am not a big reality TV fan but Idol has sucked my in big time....
I have watched the last 2 idols religiously (video timer set in case I'm not home) and I have only EVER voted for KATE....
Emily is great but she cries too much for my liking and I think the Kate has the better voice and 100% personality....

I swore that I wouldn't check out the winner on here - they're still playing the final song the group sing here in Perth. DH has told me not to check, but I couldn't help myself.

How surreal that whole experience would have been hey for them. It freaks me out that you just dont know where your life is going to take you... :D
