Occasional Care

Hi Perth Mums,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with or know of a good occasional care centre in Perth, preferably SOR?

I am looking for some part time care for my 2.5 year old.

Hi, I can't recommend a specific centre but we used a carer through a family day care scheme. We booked 3 days a week. There are lots of different carers through the schemes, and I liked the smaller group size - only 4 pre-school kids.

If you look in the phone book you'll find the scheme for your area. I was north of the river. Or you could do a search through the national childcare accreditation council: NCAC Search (http://www.ncac.gov.au/Search/Search1.asp)

Hi Sarah,
My friend used one in Booragoon which she really liked. Her boy was 3 when he went there. I dont know the name of it, but I can find out for you before you get here. You might be able to find the name of it on one of the links on the Bub Hub.
I think she had researched a few and decided this was the one she liked best.
I guess everybody is different, but you could always give them a shot and see how you feel about it.
How is the packing going? Not long to go now!

I did a search on the Melville City Council website and found the Booragoon Occasional Care Centre on Marmion St. I assume that is the one your friend used. Thanks for that Claire it is always good to know of someone who has used something before and was happy with it.
