MY DD is 15mth - we have been having troubles getting her to sleep through since 4 mths- tried everything and NOTHING has worked.

I went to my doctor today because of this after a solution

He tells me that my DD is too bright for her age, she wakes because she wants to be comforted and suggested getting her into play groups and swimming lessons. basically anything that mentally and physically stimulates her and wears her out. He also said she would grow out of it and to ride it out.

I also bought the "Sound for Silence" CD as a last resort - What a wonderful CD. it play's sounds of inside the womb and other static domestic noises and also has a bit of classical music in there. DD was alseep in less than 3mins and slept for 1.5hrs, instead of taking 30mins to settle and only sleeping for 1hr

I personally think your doc is right. My daughter was like this and still is. If I don't stimulate her during the day I pay during the night.

I would get into a playgroup or just have play dates. Maybe go to the park and point out everything that you pass like look there is a bird etc.

This helped with dd and her sleep routine
