Hi, can anyone recommend some good trim cloth nappies? I'm using Tots Bots and loving them although they're a bit bulky. I don't mind bulky bum but want more trim kind for outing. Green nappies? Erica? Motherease? I've never tried them but heard a lot of good reviews..

Hi rebeccamum

Before I got game and started making my own I tried a few Green Nappies. I found these to be nice and trim and I didn't have any troubles with them fitting under any of my little man's clothes. I think pocket nappies are great because you can fill them however you please, I use once piece of hemp with a piece of microfibre sandwiched in between and folded a few times and he never looks to have a huge, bulky butt.

I've never used Tot Bots so I don't know how they compare, or any of the others you have mentioned but I'm sure there will be someone else who will be able to help you.

pockets are by far the trimmest option. the only problem with them is that you need to try a few to get a good fit on your bub because they all vary. tots are the bulkiest of all the fitteds that I have tried.

Fuzzi Bunz are good and you can fit quite a bit of stuffing in them. SwaddleBees are very trim but the compromise is that you lose some absorbancy and therefore need to change more often. Sandra's Stuffables are my favourite pocket but they can be kinda 'puffy'. Green nappies are good too.

I haven't tried but have heard that Fruitsalad nappies are very trim.

I'd suggest getting one of each and just seeing which one works best for you before buying up :)

hi rebeccamum,
for trimness, you probably can't top a hemp nappy; I'm using the Baby Greens One Size which are a lovely soft hemp, and nice and trim under clothes. The Ella's House hemp nappies are also a neat little trim fitting nappy.
Alternatively, the Motherease Sandy's is a really neat little nappy, but not as absorbent as your Tots, whereas the hemp nappies are similarly absorbent, or moreso.
I've heard also that the Rumpster is a trim nappy, but haven't tried it,
hope this helps...

I have the mother ease and they are really lovely UNLESS you have a heavy pee-er (as I do :D )

I love my hemp baby beehinds and greens for trimness. You definatly can't beat pockets for trimness. Just love 'em.

Thanks for all information :) I think I'll try some of the brands you all mentioned. Another question though, why hemp nappies? What're they like?

Hemp is more effective. it is anti-bactrial, anti-fungal and can hol dup to x10 it's own weight (I think, it's something like that very high), which means you dont' need alot of it to make the nappy very absorbant. The more you wash it they more absorbant it becomes as well.
It is also has less impact on the environment. It doesn't need as much water to grow as cotton and is pest reisitent as well.
So over all it's a better product to use.
