Just a quick note while Thomas is asleep to let you all know that he finally arrived!
Thomas entered the world 10 days past his due date after 53 hours of labour. I started labouring on Tuesday 23rd and as he was posterior i wasnt dialating very quickly. I had only managed to get to 4 cm in nearly 2 days. Finally at midnight on the 24th my waters broke and Thomas had turned and i started dialating and by 3 am i was 8 cm. At about 5 am Thursday i started to feel the urge to push and at 5. 36am on the 25th January Thomas made his appearance.
He was 8 pounds 5 ounces and 53 cm long. I managed to aviod stitches and only had a tiny tear and a few grazes. I owe this totally to the fantastic midwives and support person who encouraged me and helped me keep my spirits high
Apologies for not writing sooner, but i just havent had much time to spare! I will write the birth story in more detail when im not so stuffed, and post gorgeous pics of course!
