Hi everyone.
Its our 7th Wedding Anniversary on the 26th of Feb and i'm stuck for ideas as to what we can do... especially with a newborn. We wanted to go away but didnt want to take 3 kids with us and its difficult to get someone to watch the older two for a whole weekend. But i still wanted to do something special whether it be just the two of us or us and the kids. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

How would you feel about going out to dinner just the two of you, get someone to mind the children for a few hours.
You don't have to do anything big or expensive to have a nice time, so long as you spend some quality time together.Valentine

For our first anniversary we went away for a few night but only had our DS watched for 2 out of 3 nights.
On the Valentines day a week later, I put a trail of red love hearts leading to where I was... maybe have a late dinner for the two of you? get some candles and romantic music, a nice drink (doesn't need to be alcoholic) and you don't even need to cook just grab your favourite take away.
Last year we had the kids watched for about an hour and a half to two hours by my IL's so we could go out for lunch by ourselves
(we ended up at Sizzler as it wasn't very well planned but it still nice to be alone) and then that night we got out some dvds and got some Chinese for dinner and just enjoyed chilling out together.
We don't "celebrate" valentine's day as such cos our anniversary is only the week before, we think its important to make sure we have nothing on and we can just spend some quality time with each other. And to me thats the most important part of any celebration particularly an Anniversary!
Good luck I hope this gives you some ideas!

We celebrated our anniversary yesterday :) We wanted a quiet celebration, something very romantic, as it was our first.
So we had a picnic in a big beautiful park full of trees. We had champagne with strawberries, Belgium choclates, Brie and biscuits, grapes and apples.
We laid on our picnic rug talking to each other about our first year, reflecting, it was simple, but divine.
Of course we don't have kids, but I think it would have been just as delightful with children as it was without.
