Hi...

well, this is whats happening. Elise will be 2 in may. We are co-sleeping and still breastfeeding (she still wakes in the night for feeds, but i dont, i only know because i wake up and my shirt if up around my neck some where...so she helps herself

this is though...im pregnant, due aug/september some time. I dont mind the thought of feeding 2 babys...but i think its time to start to wean from co-sleeping, as much as i love it. when the new baby come there wont be enough room in the bed for 4 of us.

so. what are your suggestions for this ? has anyone had the experience before. im willing to put a matrass on the floor...but how do i keep elise down there rather then just pulling her into bed with me (i think its going to be more my problem of lazyness then hers  )

thanks ladies...i know everyone in this section is always great and supportive :hugs:

cheers tanni :wizard:

I heard of one other bubhubbers ds1 deciding to go into his own bed himself when ds2 came along (it THINK it was jessgray??? could be wrong???) i'm not sure if she discussed it with him first, or if he just thought of this on his own!

Hi Tanni,

I have 2 boys B 2.7yrs and J 13mths. There is 17mths between them and it was tough in the beginning. We put the cot beside our bed with the mattress set on the top setting (do yu know what I mean) and we took the side off the cot so we had a side car. This worked really well when J was 3 mths before that we had a bassinette in our room (I wish I had of had a baby hammock) now J is 13 mths he sleeps on my boob most of the night and B sleeps on the other side with daddy. we are thinking about having another baby so we probably will just get a bigger bed and use the side car cot.

Hope this helps

Extend your existing bed....put a king single up next to it if it is a queen (same length) or a single if it is a double (same size).

This way you can sleep your toddler in the extra extension and have you your hubby and new bubs in the next bed but still be right next to your toddler :)

You can butt one side of the bed up against the wall and use a bed rail at the other side.
