View Full Version : Age which bub sat upright in pram?

DD use to love the pram as a newborn but as she has grown older she's developed a huge dislike for it.

I think it's because she wants to be able to look more which is hard because our 3 wheeler only has a fully reclined position (which we use for DD) or a sit up position.

She can hold her head steady but not for long periods of time.

At what age did your bub sit up in their pram?

About 6 months. I waited till she could sit up for long periods on the floor before sitting her in the pram.

Just to add I guess you have already considered putting up toys above her and things like that? You probably have, sorry I don't have any suggestions for you. Good luck.

I had the same issue when my son was about 3 months old -he would scream everytime he was in the pram (3 wheeler and reclined). We ended up having to sit him up and I think he was around 3 months (it has 3 levels so put it on the first sitting up one). He was a bit floppy but much happier -the screaming gradually stopped - I hung a toy from the canopy which he seemed to like to stare at and put rolled up wraps at the side so he wouldn't hit his head. Might be worth trying her sitting up with some sort of support (you can buy headrests which might help). Good luck and be comforted to know it is most likely just a stage - my son has now loved the pram for ages.

When bub was about 4 months we would prop him up in the pram so that he could look around if we were sitting somewhere. When we were moving I would lie him down.

He wanted to look around too!

Our pram has three different height levels so when we stopped somewhere we would just tilt it so she could look around that was about 3 months or so.. When she was about 5 months we changed it to the seat cos she could hold herself up properly.

Our pram also had the 3 different heights. I think when she was about 3 months we used the middle one & we didn't use the fully upright one till she was about 6 months.
