after a bit of advice...I am approx 5 weeks pregnant...I think! AF was due last Thursday and that day I had very light bleeding (hmmmm this is hard to quantify without being TMI!) over 18 hours on and off. nothing since, so i tested last night and got BFP! Trying not to get excited b/c bleeding, from what I've read, is never good news. so perhaps this means bubba won't stick - or maybe it was a positive b/c i miscarried?? not sure how much blood that would involve but presumably similar to a normal period.

I have a 19mth old DD - so have been pregnant before but never had any bleeding with her. thought i'd wait a few days then test again on Sunday and go see my GP Monday. Anyone else had this - and hoping it resulted in a healthy baby??!

Lottiesmum, that sounds just like implantation bleeding - and it happens when the little embryo burrows into the lining of your uterus.

Congratulations! Looks like you're pregnant!! :D

Hi Lottiesmum, I think Cosmic is right!! :D When I was pregnant with DD, I found out on a Monday. Did 2 tests, just to be sure. Then on Friday got my period (although it only lasted half the day). When DH got home I was bawling, sobbing, "i'm not pregnant after all" he went and bought me another PG test, and it still came up positive!! So there's 3 positive preg tests in my pregnancy diary :D

Bleeding accompanied by cramping is never a good thing during pregnancy. I've heard of women who didn't realise they were pregnant until like 8 months, because they kept "getting their period" every month!!
