Seventeen Mile Rocks......?

Hi!! I'm a newbie to the bub hub.... My husband and I are looking for a warmer climate and a place to settle down. Currently we're living in NSW and are thinking about moving to Seventeen Mile Rocks... (around there) I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and am looking for as much advice as possible!

I'm from Brisbane also but like the previous poster (Kaidensmum) I'm also on the Northside.

17 Mile Rocks I believe is South near Browns Plains way. Sorry, I dont know too much about it either, but there's sure to be somebody on here who does.

And yes I agree, make sure you get aircon, the summers are just hideous up here.

17 Mile Rocks is a suburb in south west Brisbane near Darra, Oxley and Sinnamon Park, Jindalee etc. Its near the Rocks Riverside Park which is great for families.

Hi I'm from Darra & 17 mile rocks is just up the read from me....
I don't mind it here its quit very lad back not far from brissy about an hour & yes i agree get an air con it gets pretty hot up here... :D

hiya :) My sister has lived at seventeen mile rocks for about 10 years. It's a lovely suburb... nowhere near browns plains or logan. It is about 15 mins from the heart of Brisbane. It has great public schools close by. It's a very good area to live in. YOu have chosen well and should enjoy it here :)

Thanks so much for all your help and advice. Things are still looking very possible and postive for our move up to QLD.
Have an obstertrician app tomorrow.. Mum is coming with me as hubby can't get off work:( My normal Dr. wants everything checked out... hope I'm not a high risk pregnancy.... and that everything is fine for me to move... :)
