My dear little dog had puppies last night!
DP called me at 6pm yesterday to say she had 1 puppy - by the time I got home 30 mins later she had 2 more.
She was out the back when she had the first 3, and after cleaning them and herself she ran out the front and made a bed for them - she dug a massive hole under a tree, ripped up all the roots and carried her babies out! We thought she was finished (she wanted to go for a walk), but we checked on her a few hours later and there were 8! There are 4 white, 3 black & 1 grey.
One of the white ones died through the night, and poor Miss Belle is keeping it very close to her. :crying:
She seems to be doing well with them, and she looks happy, but tired. She wont eat unless DP hand-feeds her.
I'll get some photos of them when I can.
