I have a 3Yo son and i can not get him to sleep all night long he wakes between 2-4 times a nite. I have tried a routine, not letting him have a day sleep, stopping all sweet foods, reading to him and even tried letting him cry him self to sleep.
once he does go to sleep ( this could take 90 min) he generly wakes about 2 hours latter, putting him back to sleep he will then wake and go to his sisters beds and climb in were we find him in the morning.
If anyone has any other ideas they would be extremley helpfull

hi lonelymum I have also got a 3yo he was afraid of the dark then i got him a night light ang it made a hell of a difference we have gone from waking 3-6 time a night to once and its just to go to the toliet it is like a small fish tank and the fish go around in it I don't know where your from but I got it from homeart or copperart
Hi Lonely_mum,
Maybe he's a lonely_boy and needs someone to sleep with at night. He's only little.
Try putting him to bed with his sister (or you) and see how you go.
I personally prefer a good night's sleep over the issue of where they sleep. We have out 5 year old in bed with us 2-3 nights a week and the other nights he sleeps with his big sister.
I am sure the nearly 3 year old will get there too. Surely, there wouldn't be enough room for us and them and their partners when they get older...

My daughter habitually came into us about 2-3 in the morning for ages.
She seemed to grow out of it about age 3.5.
We did get a night light for a powerpoint in the hallway so she had a small amount of light in her room. It did seem to help a little.

We firstly put our oldest in with us...made a bed next to our bed for him...slept no troubles through the night then. Once we got that down pat we moved him into his own room with a night light...the one with fish in it...no troubles!
He has since moved into his sisters room to help us settle her into her own room...been great!
