Playgroup on Mon-Tues?

Hi Everyone

Since returning to work this month I have had to leave my mother's group. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a playgroup in the north eastern suburbs that caters for kids 6 months onwards? I am looking for one that is held on a Mon or Tue preferably as I work the other days

I tried contacting the Playgroup Assoc but did not get a response :(

I really want my DD to have interaction with other kids as she is into everything so much more now

Yes it is proving to be quite a hard task to find something for her to go to. Most of the playgroups Ive enquired about wont take her at 6 months!

You could try local churches. I started taking my DD to a church based playgroup when she was 5 months. I find its really good, they don't push religion or anything on the littlies (we aren't religious) and it suits me because its pay as you go and I can't always make it. It's worth a look.

Aw, I was hoping to see more positive results in this thread. My husband and I just decided to move back to Adelaide in the next months and I was really upset about leaving our mum's group for this reason - not being able to find another one! We left when I was 8 months pregnant so I hadn't really met other mums yet.

I'll look into the churches though, then. :)

My friend goes to 'Chicks' Playgroup at Clovercrest Baptist Church, in modbury north and shes been taking her bubs there since birth. They also allow pregnant mums to join in too and socialise with other mums. I know a few others who go there too and they are lovely people. You dont have to be a member of the church or believe in any religion to go there.

From what I know this is held on a Tuesday. If you are interested (I dont know where you live) you can send me a PM and I'll ask her when I see her tomorrow.
