My name is Adele and I am a MCN addict:crying:
Whenever I see a nappy for sale in the cloth swap & shop I have to desperatly try and stop myself from buying.
When I look at MCN websites I cant stop myself. I have to have it- I need it I just cant stop
My addiction is realy hurting my bank account and I just dont know what to do- I just cant stop
When the MCN companies bring out new prints I break into a sweat and feel nervous and I have to have them NOW not tomorow
I realy need help with my addiction.
If YOU have an addiction to MCN this is the place you can find support and help

My name is Sahra and I am an addict,
Addicted to anything to do with MCN's, Buying them, sewing them, Buying materials to sew them and talking about them. :ecomcity:
I first realised I had a problem when Bubblebubs were stocking and I was buying and DH turned our router off so I couldnt and I did not speak to him for 24hrs.
But my kids look cute, I could have a worse addiction:D

My name is Tanya, and i too am an addict.
Despite having no money at the moment, i still have a layby at BBH and almost put another on at Darlings downunder yesterday. I was almost through checkout when i had to force myself to stop. I don't know how i had the strength. But when i went shopping a few hrs later and found a pea pod in a shop - i couldn't control the urge anymore and HAD to buy one.
Please introduce the 12 step program soon as I don't know how else to control the situation.
:D  :D
As a previous MCN buying addict I am pleased to announced that I am no longer feeling the compulsion to buy :smiliedance:
I think after I started selling MCN that I finally had my fill and plus the enormous stash I have that sat there looking oh so beautiful whilst we had cheese on toast for dinner because there was no money for food. In the beginning I used to fold and arrange my stash as soon as they were dry, now they just get fished out of my washing basket as needed. Oh, and having to add them onto the insurance policy because they were the most expensive thing I own also helped me see the error of my ways. Sure, I have bad days here and there, but they are mostly accessories (which don't count!) such as the wipes solution I got last night and velour wipes:o
So to all those MCN addicts, you can do it- there is an light at the end of the tunnel. may the force be with you:yes:
Thankfully I am over the buying. Still obsessed with wool but dealing with it.
But I have been there with the "I want to try every nappy I can" and now I have tried a lot and I am happy with what we use now.
But what a great addiction and fun hobby to have!
Not to mention practical.
I was also totally addicted at the start and as a consequence ended up with some nappies that I ended up selling because they didn't suit.
Now I have my favourite nappies and am happy with the stash and I am addicted to kool aiding wool. :o
I still have some PUL I need to sew up, and some flannel.

Oh I was SO close to loosing what self-control I had and spending waaay too much on cloth, but I have become so much more selective when it comes to MCN now that the initial enthusiasm has died down!
But at the start.... wow. I look at some of my purchases and think, 'Why?' So I have done a bit of a cull and I'm much more happier with my leaner, but loved, stash.
I'm quite proud of my efforts when GK's restocked.
I like to try one nappy from each WAHM- if I don't like the nappy as much as others, I make mental notes about why etc, and rememeber what I do and don't like when researching and choosing the next nappy..........I think of it like wine tasting. Chose one to taste. Swill, Note colour. Sniff. Note bouqet. Then tiny taste..... chuck out remains.
While all the time I'm holding myself back from just necking that entire bottle then and there!!
I'm no good at analogies... do I make sense??!!
Love the analogy pooksie. As a recent discoverer of the MCN, I am currently also in the obsessive & addictive phase but am trying to curb it.....a bit.
But you know, babies grow up so quickly so might as well enjoy this addiction while I can- & yeah..there are a lot worse things to spend money on I reckon.
I'm looking forward to receiving my first GKs this week..
I don't think the GDUNH is going to help in recovery!!!

So your an alcoholic and a MCN addict:laughing:
I'm such an addict, I'm on holiday, and trying to stop myself from buying more fabric to be waiting when I get home.
And I'm also finding it hard to hand over the 4 nappies I made for my cousin's wife:laughing:

I'm a MCN addict and I don't even have the baby yet!
My stash includes 39 home made pocket nappies.
I have still got 13 new PUL prints I haven't used yet and 8 new prints on the way.. I could make 84 nappies with that!!
OMG LT! That is A LOT!!
I am an addict, but i have to fuel my addiction by talking about nappies. DH is a tough nut to crack and I can't buy much. He is too in love with Baby Beehinds, and says we should just buy more of them (they make up the majority of our stash!)
He just doesn't understand! It means I have to be very selective and covert with my purchases!

LMAO! What are we doing to our families with our addictions????
I too was an addict until we started not having the $ to pay the bills! lol- I have found a cheaper addiction- sewing our own MCN! lol- instead of $50 for 2 naps (if lucky) I now get around 5 nappies for that price. And all the pride in the making;) lol- I really have to stop! But everytime I think we are set DD has an aversion to one type of cloth, so another has to be substituted (ie the "PUL in the Summertime" fiasco) woe is me...... lol I think the woe is all DH's though, as much as he loves DD's naps....
