Sunny Coast

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd start a new post as looks like the previous ones are quite old apart from Tren's entry. :)

Anyone else out there from the Sunny Coast? I have lived here for a year now and expecting our first baby in Dec. Still feeling a bit isolated. I'm 33 married. I work in administration/sales (for another 3 weeks anyway!)

Luv to hear from you and get to know other Sunny Coast mums.

I live in Buderim Meadows - which area are you in? I had my first baby Matthew in April this year so if you want any advice, I'd be happy to help. I'm 35 and married - stay at home mum at the moment but I'm going back to my old workplace for a few days over Christmas/New Year. If you want to meet up at any stage for a coffee, let me know. I've been finding it a bit difficult to meet other mothers!

Thanks for replying. :) I live in the Woombye area.
It would be great to catch up for a coffee sometime.
If you happen to be doing any shopping at the Plaza I could always meet you in my break as I work across the road or if it is too hectic after Xmas when I have had the baby. I am counting down the weeks (feeling abit sluggish) and hoping my baby is born on time or early since he is due on the 17th. Not long now!

Thanks for offering your advice as it is all going to be new to me, I never thought I would be a mum but am happily looking forward to my life change! :)

Hi Debster,
My Matthew was due on 22 April but he arrived on the 19th of April so you just never know!!! It took a while for me to fall pregnant and I thought it wouldn't matter to me if I didn't have a baby but I couldn't imagine not having Matthew now!

I'm happy to come for coffee before Xmas if you feel ok. What about next week - I was planning to go to the Plaza next Wednesday to do some early Christmas shopping. What time is your break and I'll work in with your time.

You must be tired doing all that travel from Brisbane to Maleny each day! That would have to be about 3hrs a day! :eek:

Hopefully another time you will be able to join in. Where did you move from? Seems so many people move here from other states/areas, so lots of us in the same position.

Scrapie are you doing any scrapbooking anywhere? I was thinking of going to classes in January at Daisy Chain in Nambour. Do you know any good places?
