My little one is 13 weeks old and up until 12 weeks he would fill his nappy at every BF and it was the usual mustard yellow poo (tmi - sorry). But about a week ago he had a 24 hour period with nothing and then when it did come it was green paste like.

Now it has been 3 whole days since he has poo'd and he is obviously in discomfort and I don't know what to do. His feeding has slowed as well but his nappies are still heavy with wee. His is doing some really smelly farts which to me seems like he needs to go but can't ??!?!

Any advice out there - I don't like to see him in such discomfort. He ending up screaming himself to sleep last night and there was nothing I could do to help him.

I was told that with BF babies that they can go a week without a poo and it is not claissifed as constipation/

its quite common for BF babies to poo every 2 or 3 days - no need to panic as long as there is still plenty of wet nappies. Maybe try a nice bath if it looks like he is in pain, or little massages????

Oh and BTW - when they do come, get ready with the catchers mitt :D
