constipation?

can anyone tell me what causes it? my ds2 appears to have suffered a case of it. he was unsettled all day and i put it down to teething and not sleeping that well. and then 20 mins ago he did his 1st poo for the day and is now happy as larry:smiliedance:
but i am at aloss as to what made him blocked up, he's BF. should i take him to the drs?
even though he seems ok now.he's 3 months.

ok what else should i do? i'm massaging his belly it seems to be helping him settle more i think he is blocked up again :no: :( he went red before and i thought yay a big poo but nope nothing:laughing:

He might have a little stomach bug or if you are breastfeeding it may be something you ate. Could also be a little bit of wind.

If you are breastfeeding it's very unlikely constipation - not common for BF'd babies.

Don't worry about him not pooing all day. Babies can go for up to two weeks without pooing and this is considered quite normal.

how will i be able to tell if its a tummy bug he is a relfux bub. but has been spewing more then normal if that makes sense but i just figured was a bad day for his reflux.he's not dhydrated or anything he's been feeding really well. just unsettled and not sleeping and spewier then normal and the tummy massage seems to be cheering him up
