I only went to a restaurant a couple of weeks ago, so mine was 6 months old. He just slept through, thank goodness.

We took Connor out when he was 3 days old, he slept thought the whole thing. As long as they are warm and comfy I don't think they mind.

I think take him out. Get him use to doing the things you want to and his behaviour later in his life at restaraunts will be much more pleasant!
My 2 have always been taken to restaraunts and the likes and they are well behaved the children I have seen who are not use to it are so excited and wound up that at 3 or 4 their parents don't want to go out!!

We took Mitch out quite a bit when he was younger - probably from about 4 weeks old... but the last time we took him, in November, (so he was 5 months) he cried nearly the whole time. I had to hold him... as soon as I put him down he'd wake, and if I tried to give him to DH, so I could eat, he cried then too. It was awful! Now, if we have the pleasure of going out, we get nana to come & babysit  . If I was you, I'd make the most of going out while he's young enough to sleep through! :D
Have a great time. :)

I agree with Ziggies Star, the younger they are the better they are out and about! Make the most of it while you can

Once DS could sit in his high chair and entertain himself making a mess and banging things, i went out to cafes a lot. That was at about 5ish mths

Jess was about 3 weeks old when we went to dinner after church. She was asleep in her pram and when she woke up I put her in her sling and she was happy as larry

I think that babies are actually more portable when they are 0-3 months old. They just sleep and have milk feeds. You can also easily pop them in a sling or pouch when they get restless or just rock them to sleep in the pram.

I think our Ds was about a week old and it is great to take them out. You get some time to talk and not worry so much about what you are doing, because the bubs usually sleep well with the hum of the restaurant. Have a great time.

Our little one had his first weekend away at a mountain retreat when he was 5 weeks old!

We had to eat in the fancy restaurant each night and were scared at first but we just had a bottle on hand just in case. Fortunately he slept through it each time. We just kept him in his capsule wrapped up (but we had the advantage of just walking from our room).

Have a nice night out! ;)
