*Sorry mods i had no idea where to place this thread, move if you must*

So like the title says bloody noses, literally. Lately I've been waking up in the morning to a blood nose and i normally don't get them at all. What could it be ? Could it be medically related ? I don't pick my nose at all so it can't be that  and it hasn't been hot so it can't be that either..

What could be the cause of a blood nose ?

I do want to go to the doctors to find out but i thought maybe i should ask here first.

TIA

The doctor said I wouldn't have so many nose bleeds if I kept my finger outta there.

was it lighter or shorter than usual? I met a woman in target last week, she was 31 WEEKS pregnant and only just found out. she had her AF right through, but it was irregular, she said it has always been irregular and thats why she didnt notice!

KarniF00l
27-01-2007, 12:04
Well.. this months AF only lasted 3 days and it was light. I thought i was on a winner there  because every other month I've had AF after Dakota it's been for a full week.

 Oh gawd, maybe i should do a test :banghead:

I don't want to get one. I'm sitting here in total shock and a daze right now. Not once did i thought that pregnancy could be a possibility until you lot suggested it :shame: I blame you all haha :p

Now that i think of it, around two weeks ago i was sick for a few days and couldn't keep anything down at all so maybe that has played around with AF ? Which could cause the shortness of it. Also, we have been playing it safe but at the same time we haven't IYKWIM ? :o

I can't even tell DH that it could be a possibility. Totally in denial here. I'm scared to test to be honest. Gawd that is totally selfish if i am pregnant. :(

Pick my nose in my sleep? hahaah i so hope that it the answer. Or maybe DH has been swatting me in the nose in his sleep.

Lirael
27-01-2007, 12:25
ok hun, its alright:hugs::hugs:

a test is gonnna tell you for sure(well mainly)

then again, it could be too early. was AF on time?

KarniF00l
27-01-2007, 12:32
AF has been all over the shop since having Dakota. what i mean is 36, 29, 37 ect days in between. So it does vary.

I have been overly clucky lately as well which is not normal for me. I mean i get clucky but nothing like i have lately. Could it be a feeling ? With DD1, DS2 and DD2 i knew i was pregnant very early on before getting a test.

*Sigh* I can't have another it's just not a possibility right now or ever in the future.

I should just shoosh and test shouldn't i ? :o

:yes:yep.

Im sure your hubby will support you no matter what. and we are all here for you too, and just think- more nappies:yelclap::laughing:

Second thing I thought after getting that BFP was the nappies.....

KarniF00l
27-01-2007, 13:27
Like i need anymore nappies

Well i've spoken to DH and he's in utter shock that it could well be possible and told him not to worry.. Pfft I can't stop worrying myself, to put it bluntly i'm sh!tting myself. So anyway, he's gone down to the chemist to get a few tests and i shall do it as soon as i get the balls to do it. I need to harden up but this is something i can't take lightly until i have the actual result. *sigh* Either way it sways, it won't be bad news but it also won't be good news.

I shall be back with the follow up.

All the best with your test! :hugs:

But Ive had that happen before and Im not pregnant. Im a sucker for blood noses... and Ive had quite a few blood noses in my sleep. Doctor says its my reaction to stress or/and humidity and that its not really a prob.

But if you are worried about it I would see a doctor, because I cant really tell if you are similar to mwah over the internet :D .

27-01-2007, 14:39
Thanks for the support, muchly appreciated :hugs:

I still haven't checked. DH on the other hand has but isn't allowed to tell me.. he walked out with a smirk on his face and wiped his brow. Not sure if that was a good or bad reaction.

If i am, i'll have to tell my closed bud first before letting it out in the open on here.

Bugger it! Time to check. Sorry to keep you waiting.

Got a surprising BFP sitting here. After a bloody (i just had to) good cry i'm now feeling emotionless. Not sure how i'm suppous to be feeling at this point but one thing i do know for sure is that i feel selfish to a point for those who struggle with TTCing.

I'm scared of the pregnancy because pregnancies don't sit well with me. None of my pregnancies have been smooth sailing and then there's the judgments of having 5 squidlets wrapped around my legs.

I know DH will be supportive but ultimately he'll leave it in my hands and go with the flow. I'm not sure what to do.. i suppose once it sets in i will be happy about it but at the moment I'm just not feeling it at all :gloomy:

Thanks to those who have PM'ed and given me the support and wise words. It is truly appreciated.

The bloody nose has turned into a bloody mess :crying:

Wow you'd never think a blood nose would be the first sign of pregnancy,im totally shocked for you.But hun you will be a great mother, dont worry what other people think after all your the one that looks after your kids not them.

Good luck hun,i hope you feel better soon.

Oh and congrats on your BFP.

You're all too lovely :hugs:

I'm just scared that's all. I don't have much family support behind me, well not my mothers anyway so it's hard when she's not here for any kinda support really. See mixed emotions are really playing with my head! I want my mother back in my life but i don't at the same time :gloomy:

I haven't told anyone yet because of the judgments but i think it's more to the fact that i judge myself. 5 kids by the age of 26 is really hard hitting. One thing i do know is that i have an awesome husband who bends of backward to help and support me even though DS1,DD1 and DS2 aren't his children by blood, he is always there for all of us and i know that but during the day when he's at work i'm truly going to have my hands full.

It is starting to set in and with a little more time i know i'll be happy about it.. it's just all these mixed emotions right now are playing with my head.

Thank-you again for all the kind words and help through this.. maybe i should start another thread eh ? hahah it's not about the damn blood nose anymore.

Cel - It's okay honey. There's no need to apologise for anything.

Nappies is a whole different story  what if it's a boy ? he can't wear pink and girly prints  The poor bugger will get offended.

Hmm.. a boy is next going by the stats so far. :P

Hi Lauren
I just want to offer my congrats also!
and like you, Im pregnant with number 5, the eldest is 8!!
I had the same thoughts/doubts you did babe, but am getting very excited as we get closer, and you know what I think about the comments from utter strangers about the size of my family?? Jealous, thats what, those who say/think bad things about big families are those who are also going to be very bored in 20 years time on Christmas day, when their 1 or 2 kids are at their inlaws, and families like ours have more than enough to fill the day!! lol....
I honestly thought that 5 young kids was going to be hard, but the more I think about it, the less stressed I get, because I just think, heck, Ive done it 4 times before, another will just fit in perfectly!
My DH sounds like yours, happy with whatever is given to your family size, in fact, mine wants 9 or 10 all up, so Im confident with whatever we are given also (even if it is another 3 or 4, but I seriously doubt another child will have my permission enter my womb.. ).
Ooh, and on the theory of the sex, lol, my brother and his wife went girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy!! lol
Ok, Id better go, and just let you know hun, CONGRATULATIONS!!
(cant you tell I love big families??)

Congratulations Lauren!

Sorry to hear that you will face judgements about this (especially from family :( ) I just wanted to say - 5 kids? I think you are sooo lucky!

Yes, it will probably be very hard having them all so close together, but the positives will outweigh the negatives and it will pay off for you in the long run. How great will it be when you are 50 and have all those grown-up children coming to visit you with children of their own!

All my love Lauren! :hugs:

From what Ive heard and read you are the most wonderful mother and this is not going to change. You will continue to be such a loving and nuturing mother and your husband sounds like an absolute gem!

Much love!
