just wondering do any of your friends or family members think kisses from your kids to you or OH is wierd?ds1 likes to kiss dp on the cheek and me on the lips MIL thinks its wierd:laughing: but we are just going with the flow and what ds1 chooses

DD1 kisses us all the time, on the lips, cheek, hand even!

Kisses from your kids is the best ever in my opinion. My ds gives us kisses blows kisses and kisses poppa etc when they leave our house. I cant believe your family thought it is wierd:confused:

only MIL thinks its wierd. BIL thinks it is funny but has to tell ds1 he doesnt want sloppy kisses :laughing: my brother who became a day 11 days ago he is wary of ds1's kisses after being bitten on the nose:laughing:

i think its weird that people wouldnt lap up innocent sweet kisses from little ones! I abssolutely love maikyra to pieces and kiss her constantly. as she does to me and jules. she will kiss my back from behind, has tried to kiss my feet on more than one occassion. I love stealing little kisses off her. Her lip kisses are so wonderful they make my life worthwhile!

My children kiss everyone bye. The inlaws I don't think really like it but they are kids and it is normal. I don't like my 2 kissing on the lips except me, dh and my mum and dad do. I tell her to kiss all her aunts and uncles on the cheek!!

I love my kisses!! My little men give such cute kisses. :kiss: They're pretty shy so they won't kiss you until they've known you for a while... adn they're quite happy to kiss extended family on the cheek, or lips, or head or arm, whatever gets offered really :yes:

DS1 is quite happy to blow kisses to friends...

I think kisses form kids are gorgeous... don't worry Jessgray... we're not the weird ones, it's you MIL who's weird :rolleyes:

Luka hardly ever kisses, but when he does, it's like your first teenage kiss, he comes at you with his mouth as wide open as he can and tries to kind of "pash" you... I think it is the cutest thing ever... I love his slobber :D...

I love getting kisses from my dd too. It is so sweet and I can't get enough.
She has just recently started giving her nana kisses too and nana just loves it!

I would say make the most of it because before long they grow up, and giving mum and dad a kiss is embarressing.

My son gets kissed everywhere - cheeks, lips, ears, tummy, bum ... He's a baby. It's all just affection. Thinking it's anything more is a reflection of that person, not of us.

Maybe its the older generation. my son gets kisses from us all the time and granted MIL kisses too but no way wil FIL ever kiss DS. MIL said to him one day"give Blake a kiss, they are going now" and his reply was "dont be stupid,you dont kiss boys,you shake hands!" DS was all of a month old!!:laughing:
we kiss DS so much that he started kissing you from around the 4 month mark and it was the most wonderful thing. He would grab hold of your face and pull it towards himself and slobber all up the side of your face and try and say "mwah"

Lol, i don't think there is anything wrong with it all!

I'm not a kissy cuddly person, and i HATE slobber, but with ds, it doesn't matter i love them!!!

Lately though, when you go to give him a kiss he has his mouth closed and at the last min, sticks his tounge out! :eek: :eek:

:laughing: thats classic. my ds has done this a couple times too.

ds will blow kisses to just about anyone some days, he will give kisses to us and his nana, and occasionally to other relatives but only if he is in a kissy mood and we have been with the rel's most of the day.
there is nothing better on a sad day then a big sloppy kiss from ds! (so long as he doesn't nibble!) I am just enjoying it while it lasts, one day he wont want to give me kisses so i got to make the most of it now!
