yeah I'm still hanging in here....but I'm getting frustrated.
A friend of mine said it didn't look like he was coming soon because he is so active. Today I was sitting in a cafe with music playing and he was bouncing around. Same with a hairdressers later on...opera playing and once again he was bouncing around. Apparently he is having too good a time according to my friend and doesn't want to come out. :(
Looks like it is a race between the last few of us who are still waiting.

Best wishes to all the new dec mums. I'm still waiting and its driving me crazy. Could be a Jan baby at this stage (can't believe tomorrow's NYE).
I've had days of 'pre-labour' which is a nightmare - cramping, back ache, contractions, but not the real thing... :( The closest I've come is 6 mins apart, but they didn't eventuate into anything. My cervix is dilating a little and everyone says it'll happen today/tomorrow/next week - they just don't know. Arrgghhh! Did anyone else get this??

Hi Austi,
I had a few days leading up to the actual birth with contractions 6 mins apart. For about 4-5 days I was going to bed feeling like c*#p, sure that it would happen that night. When they were for real I was so sick of "alerting" my DH that I let it go for about an hour but by then there was no doubt!
Good luck-it can't be too far away.

Hi austi-
sont worry I had the same thing people kept trying to predict when it was going to happen.. each time some one said a day and it passed I would become more depressed and upset.. by the end of it I thought I was going to strangle the next person who "predicted" a day!
I hope it happens for you soon.. I ended up being 9 days over so I feel your frustration!

good point! My bub is definitely a January baby now!
I am now getting frustrated as i dont want to get induced. the midwife says that you are more likely to be monitored and i wanted to be able to walk round during labour.
i hope my baby decides to come before the induction is scheduled. I haven't felt like anything is going to happen soon.

Hi
Just to let you know I had my baby last Sunday. He was induced when he was nearly 2 weeks overdue. I went through full labour but ended up needing an emergency ceasarian(sp?) I had to spend 5 days in hospital but I'm recovering and my little Justin is adorable. He weighs 7pds 4.
anyway I'll post my birthstory when I get some time. I'll have to catch up on all the posts later that I missed while I was away.
Better go and get some sleep.....being a mother is a shock to the system!
Congratulations 1st baby!! Hope you have a speedy recovery.
I have to agree, being a mother is a shock to the system but we'll get there.
