Your child goes missing - the check list

Hi guys

there was a thread regarding the poor 2 children that lost their lives due to being locked in the boot of the family car.

Ashleerose had a list of where you should check if your child goes missing. i thought it would be a great idea to put this list on a thread and for everyone to add to it so if your child/children goes missing you can tick off these hiding spots you would never think of!

Fish pond
Garden shed
Old fridge/freezer
car
Car boot

frontload dryers/washing machines???

What a good idea, and even better because when you get into such a state of panic you tend to get so frazzled your mind freezes!

How about we add things that may not be too serious aswell, we all know kids like to hide under beds, in cupboards etc and sit there and play silly buggers while we ran around screaming for them :thumbsup:

i always check cupboards and my shower- ds1 loves the shower:laughing:

How about backyards of people who own vicious dogs!

hmmm, yep i would look in the washing machine and dryer, well my washing machine anyways even though its a 4 kg top loader, DS wouldnt fit his head in there lol but id still look.
My dryer is on top of my up right freezer id still look. if i had a chest freezer i would look in there also. and at the back of our house we have this little hidy hole thingy that goes under the house that has a little door on it. (i dont know if you know what im on about) but id look in there too, id look in the shed, in the car (meaning the whole car) including the boot i would look in the built in wardrobes under the beds the shower is another good spot to check

i dotn know if any other houses are like mine but our hot water service is in what i can best describe a closet like cupboard and has a door which ds1 can open (learnt this just before:eek: )so i will be checking that too from now on!
there's spiders in there and a hot water service ...ge ds1 can pick spots to hide:laughing: :banghead:

I always check behind hte curtains, under the table, and in any rooms with the doors closed. So often has she hidden quietly in rooms which I thought had the doors closed... when probably, the doors were just pushed shut, not PROPERLY closed... so she gets in, shuts teh door quietly behind her, and I freak out!

I also have ot check under the recliners sometimes (she pulls the seats up, climbs under there, then traps herself).

It's quite frightening really...
