When you brush your teeth in the morning.......

Do you brush your teeth as soon as you wake up or after breakfast?
Does anyone know if there is a particular order that your meant to do it?
Probably a stupid question but I was talking about it to my Grandma & I really want to know:o

I do it after brekky. Always have. I guess it just makes sense to me to do it after I have eaten.

The idea behind brushing your teeth is to remove decay causing food particles, so you do it after eating in the morning and after eating at night.

I brush after i eat brekkie. Seems to make sense to me as i brush my teeth after dinner and there is no eating in the middle of the night. So there is no decay to brush away?:idea:

I brush my teeth after breakfast. Otherwise my food tastes like toothpaste. Yuk!!

DH just has to put up with bad breath for a little while!:o

I brush as soon as I get out of bed as I can't stand the taste of morning breath then again after I eat. My DH does after he eats b'fast. I wore braces for 6 1/2 years and I'm pretty anal about brushing my teeth because of that.

Iv always done it after I eat too but Grandma said to me this morning she was listening to the radio (one of her old people talk back shows) & a dentist was saying that it is best to do them as soon as you get up. Dosn't really make sense to me but thats what they were saying.

Yep after brekkie... but for some reason I always have a glass of warm water first thing in the morning. I have no idea why, but I remember my Mum saying when I was little that warm water is good for your body as it absorbs it quicker.. or something like that. And I always find it helps with the morning breath too. :) Plus, I'm always ssooooo thristy when I wake up.

But yeah... brush teeth after brekkie.. usually in the shower, the boys too.. it's our ritual :D

i do it when i have a shower first thing in morning.. i hate the taste in my mouth in the morning..its awful.. i do it after eating brekkie too... :thumbsup:

I always brush when I wake up .. to get rid of the bad breath and gury tongue :laughing: and then again after breakfast ... If I eat it :o

I do both, before and after. I tend to brush mine after every meal if I'm at home anyway. (i don't like having a food taste in my mouth). I brush mine way too much.
