View Full Version : Some People!!!!!
Geez, i have come home from doing the groceries with ALL the kids and now thanks t some !d!ot im all cranky!!!
Im going up the escallator (sp?) and i hear this.
"OMG, that girl has THREE and is heavily pregnant, some people just dont know when to stop do they"
The friend- "no, it seems that the baby bonus is a great incentive to have kids these days, but these young, single mums just take it for granted and keep spitting them out"
Ok so i swing around and with an extremely red face say this.
"for you information, im neither young nor single. I m married and yes, they all have the same father!! Oh and the baby bonus? My husband and i both work and pay taxes so until you know what your talking about SHUT UP".
I am soooo angry- who the hell do these people think they are? Why do they have to judge our situations without knowing anything?
Makes my bl00dy blood boil!
Oh, i do look young but so what?? No one evr aid that because your young you cant be a good mother!
Sorry for the vent-rant over!

:banghead: I know exactly what you mean. I am under 30 and have 4 gorgeous kids. I work, have a home, car etc....Baby bonus isn't an incentive for me, its a help while on maternity leave but hardly a reason to have a baby:mad: We would like another 1 or 2 and have plenty of people shaking there heads at us:no: . Good on you for saying something:thumbsup: I hope they were embarassed silly bl#@@y old bats.

How incredibly rude, it really annoys me when people think they have the right to judge anyone, especially when they know none of the facts!
Good on you for saying something and putting those ignorant people in their place:yelclap:
God that annoys me. It annoys me most of all coz what if someone was a single mum and heavily preggers and had been left by their hub. It happens! Hopefully by you putting them in their place those nasty nasty women will think again before they open their dirty mouths in public. I'm sorry they were so judgemental.
I hope your day is better.
I felt like telling them to F off but seeing as kids have big ears and bigger memories, well it probable wouldnt have been a good idea:o
Lauren, i would love to go shopping with you, but wait till number 4 is here first and the the two of us can take 8 kids out and see what sort of looks we get then:laughing:.
Makes me want to round up my frineds kids and take them all out and see what happens. the only thing i am certain of is that my sanity would leave too lol.
They were about 50is, so not that old, i would expect it from "oldies" but not from people who a probably recent gramdmothers.
And NO they didnt apologise, BUT considering its Thursday, the shops are packed, the escallator was packed, and they were humiliated. Everyone else just sniggered at them and one man said, "good on ya love". o that was nice.
Still makes me wanna slap them though:o

That would have been the ultimate humiliation for them, lmao. I hope they have learnt a valuable lesson.

i hate people who assume everything and really what do they know about young parents, i dont call myself young but i do have a friend who had her first at 13 and had 4 befor she was 22 she never got the baby bonus, she made a mistake but did not blame anyone els but herself and has always dedicated herself to her very respectful polite children and she is one of the best mums i know

Good on you for saying something. How dare they!! I am sure that people will make comments to me I want my 4 by the time I am 28. I have planned each child and would love 2 more after that. Do they not realise the baby bonus does not provide much!! I really think that some people need to get a life!!
How rude! They deserve a good talking to. How dare ppl judge others on appearances or anything for that matter. :banghead:
I am so angry hearing your post. Wow I am not sure what I would have done.

I am one of those single mums who was left by their husband while pregnant and kept wearing my wedding ring for a long time (until the swelling put a stop to it lol) because I was afraid of the judgement of being pregnant and single. :(
And anyone who has kids knows that the baby bonus is no incentive to go and get knocked up!
Good on you Roopee for defending you and your family. :yelclap:
I hope those b****es slunk off with their tails between their legs.

Sorry to hear that you had to go through that. Some people can be so rude.
I find that people in their 50s are the worst, they seem to complain and make judgements about everyone without knowing their story.

:banghead: You poor thing!
I'm always being asked, "are they ALL yours?"
People are stupid..... they say that though you can't see spiders everywhere, you are never more than a metre from the nearest one... something like that anyway. The same thing goes for people, I'm afraid.
Hugs to you and you growing tribe.

Ooh, Tanya and Lauren, can I come too?? Imagine the 3 of us with our 13 kiddies in tow. There wouldn't be room on the escalator for anyone else:laughing: .
Good on you for putting them in their place, unfortunately I tend to be a bit slow to think of a suitable reply!
Yikes! How unbelievably rude!!
Good on you for sticking up for yourself! :smiliedance:
I hope they're still embarrassed! :devil6:
Yikes!!! What rude people!! That is what I am not looking forward to when I have all my kids... is the rude completely wrong comments!!
Good on you for sticking up for yourself!!
And what gets me is it mostly comes from other women!! I can go out shopping with my DS and my mum and 2 and 7 year old sisters and you want to hear the comments I get.... isn't she a bit young to have so many kids... all for the baby bonus, specially look at her eldest... blah blah blah... where as the guys just look and give gloating like smiles.... Mum just turns around and points and me and says 'eldest daughter, (then at my 7 year old sister), middle daughter (then at miss 2) youngest daughter, (and then at T Man) grandson' oh and I have three sons and another daughter too!!!'
It shuts em up pretty quick!! hehehe
The goat of some people!!! :banghead: :banghead:

:yelclap: Good onya hun! Im so glad you put those rude women in their spots!
I am so sick of these kind of comments!
I have been at my new job for roughly 6 weeks now and when one fellow found out i had 3 kids he asked me the trademark question... " does your tv not work? hahaha!"
Like i havent heard that one before !!!
I just replied " yes it does... but its planning on going on the blink again at the end of the year.. yes they were all planned, no we dont get government assistance and are they all to the same father? Well thats none of your beezwax!"
Some how i dont think he likes me anymore
I dont care anymore tho... people need to learn how to mind their own business and stop making assumptions about everyone!!!

it amazes me how people judge by what they see. if you dont know a persons circumstance, why judge?
i wouldve turned round and told them too!
 :yelclap: Good on you Tanya!!
DH and I are trying to hit for 6 by the time I'm 30 :o What's wrong with having a large family???? We're dong well.... coming on to 3 and I'm only 23 :D
It really annoys me when people think they have a RIGHT to be so judgemental... and Jonny Howard goes on about how the kids these days have no respect... no wonder when they have such judgemental, critical parents.
Any yeah.. DH and I are on government benefits.. so what? I've got a degree, I'm doing my Masters and being a SAHM for my gorgeous little future tax payers is MY choice, and he's studying at uni because with 6 kids in the future working in Medical Records at the PA hospital for $600 a week for the rest of his life is just NOT an option for a growing family... So what?! he's payed tax and worked full time since he was 17.. he's entitled to a change of career.. and I don't mind living on a tight budget while he follows his dream.
People like those old cats on the esculator can just go 'jump' for all I'm concerned.

Good on you for putting them in their place, too many ppl these days are narrow minded and need to keep their opinions to themselves.
Can I ask what did they say after you told them off?

Good on you for saying something. How dare they!! I am sure that people will make comments to me I want my 4 by the time I am 28.

They didnt say a word! I think they were too shocked that someone actually spoke up to them.
There were a few sniggers though from fellow escellator travellers.:D They just stood there with their heads down-as they should.
Thats just b****y rude. I hate when people say to me oh you are going to have 2 how are you going to manage. The worst is my mother and her saying is "How can you manage 2 when you can barely manage 1" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :shame: . This is from my own mother.
