Hi everybody! My name is Donna and I am a 23 year old mum to a beautiful 9 month old girl. I was working full-time as a primary school teacher before I had lovely Martha-Jane, and now work only a couple of days a week. I love being a mum, but have to admit to my loneliness while my daughter is sleeping! There is only so much housework I can do day after day.... I would like to hear from other mums who are feeling the same.

HI -I am not sure if I am doing this right (my first post) just wondering whether you are still reading these. I was a bit bored too, I am starting to find things to do - I go to the local pool for a swim, we go to the movies on wednesday to bubs and arms sessions among other things. I am 26 with a 6 month old son, maybe we could catch up some time - I normally teach high school but have taken some time off, I am looking at going back to work part time soon. hope this works

I know what you mean about the housework. However, there's always something for me to be cleaning with my little whirlwind here...lmao. Does get a bit boring doing the same thing over and over. I don't get out much, because we don't have a car.

Hi all! just to thank everyone for responding to my last message! I have been a bit more busier in the last few weeeks- i now go to swimming lessons with Martha-Jane every Tuesday and we also attend a playgroup once or twice a week. I work as a supply teacher, which gets me out of the house, but feel isolated from some of my friends now that i am a mum.... would love to meet up with other mums for a coffee. I live in Bundamba (Ipswich), but driving isn't usually a problem for me! Anyone interested can email me at donnapattemore@dodo.com.au or send a message through this site.
Ta! Donna
