Leaky Boobs

Hi all just wondering if your boobs leek until you stop breastfeeding. I have been breastfeeding for 12 weeks and still leak heaps. I have heard it is supposed to settle down once your milk does. It is particularily bad at night as my DD sleeps from approx 8pm till 5 or 6 am. I have started giving her a roll over feed at 10pm but my boobs are still get very full overnight and leak one side seems to be worse than the other. Also I seem to leek out of the side I am not feeding her on whenever I feed. Just wondering if this is normal.

Mine started at 12 wks preg with ds and stopped at about 6 months old.
I think it is an individual thing though.
It is normal to leak from the other one while feeding as far as I know too.

Yep this is very normal. I was still leaking nearly 12 months later. You leak more at night cause your little one is not feeding and therefore you have ample supply.
I wore a bra and breast pads at night every night while I breastfed.
It may settle down in the coming weeks as your body works it's self out, but still be prepared for those full nights.

I was v leaky all the time while BF (and for a few weeks afterwards). DDs were between 6 and 8 months old. And I could still express milk certainly 6 months after if not LONGER :eek:

My DS is nearly 9 months and I still have major leakage issues! :eek:
