I am wondering if any mums that live around Ferny Hills, Ferny Grove, Arana Hills, Everton Hills, The Gap etc etc would be interested in being involved in a local Fundraising group?
Here is the basic idea:
"Mums for Change" - a committee of local mothers who work together to organise a fundraising activity once a month for local charities that may not get much government funding. The events would be simple and low key with the idea being that ANY amount of money raised would be helpful. Hopefully local business would be happy to help with sponsorship ect...
Let me know what you think!

 Just stopping by to say GREAT work Karen!!
I really encourage others to get on board, its not too much of a comittment, you get to meet new people and new mums in your area and you get to do something in your life to make you feel worthwhile and like you are making a difference!

I'm so impressed by the positive energy and kindness this forum is generating. I can feel something really special beginning here. 'Mums for change' sounds fantastic, go for it girls!!

Hey Megan
Not much is happening at the moment, I have just started uni again and I need to get cracking on an assignment due next friday!
Having said that I have been playing with an idea to start a "mums for change" mothers group where we can discuss social issues etc and maybe organise fundraising from there - i thought that it might be a bit more approachable, people won't feel obligated, they can just come along for a chat if they like...
I actually had a venue booked and everything for the first meeting but I started to run out of time to get everything organised. I am trying for April now...
Hi Karen
Just wondering if you have organised any meetings etc re the fundraising group I would love to be involved.
Hope all is well
thanks
Susan

Hi Suzanne and Spring:wave:
I will be trying to organise a meeting for april, just need to find a decent venue that caters for kids of all ages (i did have the meeting room at the Arana Hills library booked but I don't think it will suit toddlers as their isn't much room to run around etc.)
So any ideas would be great!
