If I were you I'd wait to see if bubs is affected or not. If there seems to be unsettledness that isn't solved by anything else, you can always do an elimination diet. Dairy is usually the main culprit.
And actually, dairy can give bubby a bit of extra mucous, so a bit of a booger-y nose and stuff.

But, I haven't given anything up for BFing this time around (obviously I don't drink or smoke) and he's been fine. In fact, I eat a lot of spicy food, Italian food, etc. And now he's starting to have a bit of solids, his favourite foods are Italian, and tomato based stuff! :D

I know when you're having a long pre-labour that there's nothing worse than people asking how you are... so I'll just send you one of these :hugs: and suggest some nipple stimulation :D

I had an appt with a Lactation consultant when Jacob was about 5 weeks old. The first thing she told me was that there are no particular foods which you should steer clear off whilst breastfeeding. He is now 4 months and I haven't come across anything that has effected him and I eat everything from saurkraut to hot Thai food. The one things she did tell me that I wished I had heard earlier was that babies will generally throw up more around 2-3 weeks because their stomachs can't digest all the lactose in the breast milk......So at this point don't think it's something you did.

As the others said, wait and see what bubs reacts too... There might be nothing you have to avoid...

For me it was Cabbage... DS was very unsettled and got a sore belly when I ate it...
