Are inserts interchangeable?

Hello,

I am VERY new to this! :confused: I have been looking around for a fitted cloth nappy for DS, and am wondering if the inserts (or boosters) are interchangeable between brands?

Also how do you go about choosing a brand? Try one of each?!!

There are fitteds, pockets, AIO's...they all need different things, are different styles. Check out the threads above to help you through and follow some of the links...

MOST inserts are interchangable between brands. Are there any particular ones you have been looking at?

I like the Green Kid's inserts (the hourglass ones) and they are great in a lot of other pockets. So are the Hemparoos (also available from GK's) but, while they are VERY reliable, they are a bit fatter and don't fit in the very trimmest of pocket nappies. So most are interchangable, but there are a few exceptions, kwim?

You wanna know what I think? I'd go for a trial pack with Green Kids and Baby Beehinds (in Bamboo, of course). Saying 'Trial Pack' makes it sound like a freebie, but no-sir-ee... just a very good discount and a great way to try out two of the (probably) most popular brands. With very good resale value, might I add.

Baby Beehinds is a fitted (needs a cover, very popular choice for night time and naps, so cute and Bamboo is an amazing fabric)

Green Kids are the pockets you were talking about. They are a great pocket to get (specially to start out with) as they are a one-size-fits-most nappy.

Far out, I can :ecomcity: can't I??!! Well, my DH (looking over my shoulder) thinks so!!

I interchange all my inserts, with the Green kids I stuff them with any hemp insert that fits.

I like to buy Cherubs kiss inserts they are very well priced and quite absorbent
