For the last 2 nights, my DD has awoken at around 1am and was ready to play. She sleeps in her own room and usually is quite happy to be there til 5.30am. I went into her room and told her that "its time to sleep" (like we do when we first put her down for the night) and started patting her. When she was nice and relaxed I left the room and she started to cry. I let her cry for about 20 mins and when she didn't seem to calm down at all, I went in a started patting her again. Her cry escalated until I couldn't take it anymore and after 30 mins of patting, I picked her up and gave her a cuddle (and appologised profusley for letting her cry for so long). DH and I took her back to our bed and she just wouldn't resettle at all. I even tried feeding her but that didn't seem to work either. Eventually after being awake for 2 1/2 hours she fell asleep next to me.
Does anyone know whats going on? She already has 4 teeth and I really don't think that she is teething again yet. She is on 3 solid meals a day and has two 1 1/2 hr naps.
All suggestions would be helpful as I don't feel like going through another day with burning eyes.
