Why do I hate Disney's Playhouse so much?! Monica is just way way too happy and gets on my nerves. Or maybe it's just cause it's Disney. Grrrrrr.

<<Waiting impatiently for Playschool to start>>

I am not a fan of Disney's Playhouse either - they are all together way to cheerful and fake. Any kids show that is not on the ABC is pretty tough to tolerate - that New McDonalds Farm - what is going on there?

I am sooo off Monica even more since she has been flogging Coca Pops as a healthy breakfast cereal. Yeah Right.

Yeah what's with that?

quoting something like: "In fact, Coco Pops with milk provides 25% of the recommended daily intake of calcium - 10% of it from the cereal alone!"

So does that mean that the coco pops have 10% of the RDI? Or that with milk, 25% is the RDI, and 10% of that 25% is from the cereal alone, ie, coco pops supplies 2.5% of the RDI of calcium?????

I hate Disney.

Hey guys get it right it's Playhouse Disney. I am singing that irritating song in my head right now!!
It has to be one of the worst ones around. And I second the New Mc Donald's Farm being just as horrible. I hate all those kids at the start that dance around and over act. It reminds me of Barney  .

I thought I was the only one who hated Playhouse Disney. My DS loved Bambaloo, caught his attention for almost the whole show, giving me a small break. He won't sit still and watch Playhouse Disney!!

I loooooathe Playhouse Disney. You need a degree in engineering to be able to make their crafts, and they use props that no-one would have in their house to play games with.

Playschool is so much better - it's much more realistic and uses things kids might actually relate to.

PS Monica should be done for fraud after that Coco Pops ad! Yes, I think it's 2.5% of the calcium is in the CPs - you'd have to eat the whole box for it to make any difference!

Wouldn't the cardboard packaging be more worthwhile then??
Or is that what they actually mean??

Playhouse Disney is much too fake for my liking. My motto when pregnant was my child is not being put on this earth to make multinational corporations richer!!!!! Especially Disney. (not sure if that will ever work. I'll see how I go explaining to my dd that she can't have coco pops, corn flakes etc when she is older and has to eat lowan wholefoods tropicana mix because "it's a small aussie company, it's cheaper and lower in fat and suger, and the company does not try to warp your mind with crap advertising"

Interesting fact:

I was wondering why the Bambaloo music was so catchy. Managed to see in the credits that the music composer is none other than Dave Mc Cormack of Custard (or ex custard as the case may be) fame. yay! :D

There'd certainly be more fibre in the cardboard box, and less sugar, so I'd say it'd be more nutritious all round!
