How soon can a blood test pick up a postive

I went for a blood test to see if i am pregnant.

If i am i would only be just over 3 weeks.

Will the blood test pick it up that early?

a blood test will pick up a pos at somewhere between 8 and 14 days PO, after implantation it takes a couple of days for the hgc to get his enough to class as a pos test, :fingerscrossed: good luck

good luck with your test:fingerscrossed: my hpt gave me a strong :bfp: at 10 dpo so im sure it should show in your blood!

I was told that if a hpt came back neg then there was also a chance that a blood pg test done at the same time would come back neg. I had it suggested that if you get a neg but still think you are pg to do a second one a week later. My doc just did 2 referrals at the same time when i had mine done, to save me going back.

But i don't understand the pains i am having, its excalty the same as i was pregnant with dd2.
