Hehe, I just ticked all the places, as I am not fussy!! Can't do Tuesday - 1st day of school for Serena :smiliedance: , and Thursday is Jocko's 1st day of preschool - poor staff have no idea what is about to hit them  . Is there cover att the foreshore? Cause ths weather is a bit hot otherwise.
C'mon girls, we need to make a decision!!

Wednesday and Thursday I can do if you decide to have it on those days, but Mon and Fri are better :)
I'm happy with any place, I ticked all of them except the Maitland Cafe, only cuz I need to get outta here! :p

At this stage I'm easy with days apart from Thurs as it's my Birthday and I think the other half may have plans to take the day off to do something special.
All of the locations are great but if I had to pick out of two it would be the foreshore park or smartypants.
~ Jess ~
Hi guys just wondering if I would be welcome to come to your meet up?

Jess you lucky bugger - mine's tomorrow and I'll be lucky if he even gets home from Sydney before 7!! At least it's a long weekend, and now he doesn't have to go to sea next week, so can't complain really:no: .
KK, great news about the train sheds, so the foreshore is sounding like the place to go to...and Monday is looking good for a get together before school goes back:yes: .

Thanks guys! It's nice to feel loved! Just had a bit of a birthday dinner at my sisters, so not shaping up too bad for tomorrow afterall!
If Thursday is better for next week, just put me down for the next one instead. Though if it's not on Thursday, I will be in Singleton then, Rian if you want a coffee, as early intervention goes back that day too.
Shanaynay
24-01-2007, 22:58
Have a great day tomorrow Kylie!
So it looks like the Foreshore, and either Monday or Thursday :)
Ok I voted...
I need to get out... but Friday is the best day for me...
If its hot when you meet can I suggest not going to the Foreshore as it does get quite crouded there.
Happy birthday kylie happybirthday
Sure thing for thursday if ur in town would love you to pop in for a cuppa :D

25-01-2007, 21:09
Look forward to meeting you Benji's mum!
So looks like it's the FORESHORE for sure....
now what day?
We have an equal amount of votes for the Mon and the Thurs...
who can't make it on which day? I can make either day, but do prefer Monday. But if having it on Monday meant someone couldn't come, I'll happily go down on the Thursday
MrsTwith3
25-01-2007, 21:17
Am I allowed to show my ugly mug there too????
Just a thought on which day. The older kids go back to school on Tuesday which means if its Monday we have to drag our older ones along:rolleyes:
Mel
Shanaynay
25-01-2007, 21:20
:smiliedance: another Hunter Mum!!!
Re: the school kids - well all you ladies with the school-aged children, let us know if it's easier if the older ones are at school then
MrsTwith3
25-01-2007, 21:21

Wondermum
25-01-2007, 21:28
Monday was looking like a better day for me until the dishwasher handle decided to snap :banghead: so now I have the repair guy calling Monday morning to arrange to come around on Monday  Thursday is my Birthday - would love to  with you all if my other half hasn't got plans????
I know it hasn't got many votes but what about a Wednesday or Friday?
Shanaynay
25-01-2007, 21:34
Friday still has a few votes - I can do Friday, Friday is a great day for me.............how does Friday sound to everyone else?
Wondermum
25-01-2007, 21:36
 Friday is good for me too!
MrsTwith3
25-01-2007, 21:38
Yep good for me too:thumbsup:
I am out for Friday, but thats cool - I will try and make another one soon. And hope to catch up with lots of you at the central coast meet in Feb.
Now I dont know what day is good for me. I cant wednesday because its my daughters first day @ big school. I would have prefered thursday because its pay day but unfortunalty my ex (who has treated me like garbage for yrs) has dropped in for 2 weeks, with his staffy dog and decided he will stay til hes ready. Dp and I are scared ****less and feel like prisoners in our own home, BUT anyway so until I can built up the courage to kick him out I wont be going anywhere :(
Wondermum
26-01-2007, 08:31
If Thursday is a better day for the majority of people go ahead with that day and I'll just try and catch the next Hunter meet.
Rian sorry to hear you're not in a good situation atm with your house guest.... I have to say I like Staffy's tho as I have 2 :D
Shanaynay
26-01-2007, 08:50
Aaaaaghrh this is so complicated... lol!
Wondermum - thurs is actually a bad day for me, but if it is on that day I will try to make it anyway.... so I'd prefer another day too....
So I think we have Jkat who can't come on Fri.
Wondermum can't come on Thurs.
Harry's mum.... you still around?
Rian - what a ******* of an ex
But how exciting about DD starting school!
MrsTwith3
26-01-2007, 09:22
Im easy but dont tell anyone...lol
Any day suits me:yes:
Don't worry about me ladies, not going to be able to afford two trips to Newcastle this week (have my uncles 60th next week). Will try to make the next meet

26-01-2007, 10:32
I can't do Thursday, pre school starts for Jock, and Bronte goes back to early intervention. Tuesday is out too, as Serena is off to big school.
Monday I can do, Friday as well. Wednesday I would rather not.
How about Friday, as having looked back through the posts, sems to suit a few of us...
Rian, do you think you might have ejected the ex by then??? I can come round and help on Thurs while Bronte is at early intervention if you like!!!
What do you think Ladies?? We can have a belated happybirthday for Wondermum then too!!!
Ok so ex is now out this sunday :yelclap: His sis come round and told him to leave because its not fair on me. So thursday or friday is good for me :D
Come round thursday kylie if the meet isnt then :D

Shanaynay
26-01-2007, 15:41
FRIDAY!!!
Ok it's settled. We'll do Friday, and anyone who can't make it can pick which day next time :D How does that sound?
We aren't supposed to say exactly what time and what place (incase of freaky internet stalkers), so let's just say the Foreshore (it's a big place so we'll PM for exact spot) and in the morning before it gets hot? (we'll PM for exact time)
How does that sound?
Oh Rian, :hugs: what a loser of an ex (aren't they all?) I'm praying everything works out!

Oh.... so this means I have to actually get out of my p-j's as soon as I get up huh? :D
I'll sit back and see what time the others who are traveling furtherest prefer.
Shanaynay
26-01-2007, 22:47
Good idea... that would prob be Rian & Em & Callan's mum I think??
I'm fine with anytime really - who needs to make it a particular time?
Yes before it gets hot sounds good. I wont be able to leave here til about 930ish so any time after about 1030ish is good for me...
MrsTwith3
27-01-2007, 08:49
It will take me about 45mins to get there and I have to get Em to school first for 9am so around 10ish or after is fine for me too.
Im bringing another bubhubber with me, Sweetpea20977 (Trish) and her little girl Georgia as well.
Im dragging her along for moral support:laughing:

27-01-2007, 11:21
Never fear ladies, we don't bite...(well only sometimes:devil6:  ).
So shall we say 10.15 or so, then we should all be able to make it roughly on time?
Should we put up some sort of decoration or something to make it easier to spot us??? cause I am useless at finding people in crowds and stuff.
Are we all gonna bring a plate of something naughty, or just our own stuff or what? I don't mind doing a bit of baking:chef:.
What do you all think?
Shanaynay
27-01-2007, 11:31
I'll bring a plate of something yummy :D
Kylie, are you familiar with the foreshore park at all? Where we will meet, I think it will be pretty easy to spot each other.
Plus I will be catching the train and therefore have my pram... and my pram is BRIGHT PINK so everyone should at least be able to spot me
mummyof5
27-01-2007, 11:43
Cool, so I just look for the bright pink pram, that shouldn't be too hard.
No, Zoe, never been there. Haven't a clue where I am going - thank god for street directories. Do they have parking?? If you want a lift, i will have one empty baby seat, plus an empty anchor bolt for another baby seat, so just let me know - then you can direct:D .
Shanaynay
27-01-2007, 11:50
Kylie, if I'm on your way through (I think I am?-Maitland) I'd love a lift
DH will have the car that day and I don't mind catching trains, but would love a lift if that's ok, spesh if it's going to be hot!
Then there's no chance of you getting lost :p
I will prob be there about 1030. I also have a spare 2 seats if anyone needs a lift. I have a place where we can meet where everyone should know where it is.
I will bring a plate too...
Cool... 10.30 suits me too...
Kylie - There is parking but remember to bring some coins as its all metered in the CBD....
mummyof5
27-01-2007, 12:28
No worries Zoe, just pm me with your address. I like the idea of taking someonewho knows where they are going:yes: .
Thanks Kaz, will stock up on the gold stuff!
10.30 sounds like a good time if you are all happy with that.
Can't wait to meet some other BHer's as well.:smiliedance:
MrsTwith3
27-01-2007, 14:31

I'll bring a plate of something yummy as well.

Wow, what a big list of us there is now!! Hope lots of us can get there on friday!
Now, what to bake???
I will try and make it! Friday's DD has swimming lessons from 10-10.30am but if she doesn't need a nap we'll come for sure! It's really close to where I live and I'd love to meet some bubhub members!!
Just wondering how long you think it will go for (just so that if DD does nap and wakes up wether to still go or not).
Just wanted to add...for those driving and unsure of parking. I think it's pretty well all paid parking but if you park in Nobby's carpark is 4 hour carpark for free and you only have to cross the road and you'll see where the meet is.
There's also a pedestrian island in the middle of the road so it's pretty easy to cross over too!
Shanaynay
27-01-2007, 19:01
mumtoone - I just sent you the PM with exact details of when/where :smiliedance:
We'd love it if you can make it!
I'm not sure how long we will all be there for - it all depends on the kiddies doesn't it! lol
mummyof5 is giving me a lift down so I will leave when she needs to.
If you like, you can SMS me to see how things are going (my mob number is in that PM) if DD does decide to have a nap.
ETA: If anyone else would like the PM about Friday, just post here and I'll send it to you. The more the merrier :D

Darby Street is very easy to find...
As you drive along King St you will come to a set of traffic lights where there is a pub opposite (its Irish) You turn right and enter darby st.... Smartypantz is right down the end of darby street on the left side..
If this is too detailed please let me know and i will delete it :D
Ok what exactly is smarty pants???

Anyone care to meet me someone where??? PLZ....

I frequent a different forum a bit more often, this one is rather big and a little less familiar iykwim?
Some of the girls I've met off the forums have been absolutely wonderful :) Phineas included ;)

I'm sorry that I didn't get to have a chat to you all. I took my girlfriend along cause I'm a big fraidy cat and spent the whole time catching up with her as we hardly ever get to see one-another these days. It was nice to be around a bunch of ladies that are really into their kids.
Next time around I promise to circulate more.

Benji's mum - I actually couldn't work out if you and your friend were Bubhubbers or just people that were at the park! We will have to have a another meet up and chat a bit more!
We will have to have another meet up somewhere up Maitland way since there are so many of us up from that direction!

Well, it IS the HUnter valley round here...maybe we could meet in the middle at one of the great pubs, since most have yummo food and there are plenty to choose from...
Otherwise it's ditto for the wineries...
I don't know anywhere closer to Newcastle to go out, but I'm sure the lovely locals can suggest somewhere?!
Whatcha think???
Winery tour would be good. My only prob with an AO date is how will we get our drunk arses home...lol
mummyof5
05-02-2007, 12:02
Yeah, we might have to harass someone into being designated driver  .
Either that or we do the day tour thingie, as it is usually cheaper in groups...maybe we could then have the options wether we wanted to bring partners, or leave them at home to look after kiddies:D , corse, if they come, they have to drive us home from said tour vehicle, it's their payment for being invited in the first place:laughing: .
Shanaynay
05-02-2007, 20:30
I could drive - I'm breastfeeding so can't have much anyway
I dont drink :) if that helps
