HI

I got my ultra sound report back and it says baby is fine and stuff but it also says

Small hypoechoic fluid collection adjacent to gestational sac, suggestive of a small subchorionic haematoma.

Could anyone shed some light on to what this may mean....or has anyone had one...If so what was the result...

Thanks girls....

Hi

I had this with my DS. I had bright red bleeding at 8 weeks and went to the hospital and got an ultrasound done. They said I had a sub-chorionic haematoma. I dont know if this had anything to do with the bleeding or not but when I had my next ultrasound (not sure if it was the 12 week or 19 week) it had disappeared.

Cant really help you with what it is, but if the doctors didnt mention anything and your baby is well, I wouldnt worry too much.

i had a large subchorionic hematoma in my last pg, the outcomes can be bad or good, how far are you?

i had alot of problems, almost lost my babyat 11 1/2 weeks, and was told she'd be born before 28 weeks.

she was induced the day after my due date.

the hematoma is like a pocket of blood inside your uterus, most will be absorbed back into the body, leading to no complications, considering that they have said yours is small, chances are really good for you, you still may get some bleeding though. just get it checked out alot, ask for scans to check its progress... hopefully it gets smaller.

the stats arent that good when you read them, so what ever you do dont google it;) , i did and it just upset me.

what did you want to know, the worst case, or just positive stories... cause i can fill you in on what i know.
but like i said, i had a healthy baby girl born 2 days after her due date weighing 7pounds 7 ounces... i was terrified during the pg, i wish i relaxed more..

anyway if you want to know more you can pm me:thumbsup:
