hi there,
well, as my littlest now was diagnosed with asthma, i was wondering who else has tried the new funhaler with their kids.
we do have to normal spacer device with the mask, which he just blantly HATES :).
so, i was wondering if he would take his meds better with this funhaler.
anybody already tried it?

you can order them from the asthma foundation, they are around $50.-
they look pretty cool, and honestly i DO believe they would take their meds better with a fun thing like that

 thanks
i think i will order one for my ds1. he has his asthma under control at the moment but stress, sickness, tempreture changes, dust and a few other triggers can set him off. i should order one for myself  if only it took my asthma meds lol i have a briconol (sp?) one where you turn it and a tiny pill goes into your mouth

no worries :)

LOL well, yep you could order for yourself ....
itīs tempting...i think my new lower dose seretide (only 250/25 instead of the 500/50 for nearly 10 years) would fit perfectly....
imagine, us fighting with our kids about the funhaler...what FUN .......

Thats cool. I'll have to look into getting one for my DS. He doesn't need his medication very often, but this winter he probably will & he gets really upset when he see's his spacer. Maybe something like this will take away the fear for him. :wizard:

We were given a Funhaler by DS's (2.5 yrs old) paediatrician and they are great! You really notice a difference with how deeply they inhale by using them. I would highly recommend them - although they are a bit fiddly to put together.

We carry a spare spacer in my hand bag and he even breathes more deeply when using this one, because of how the funhaler has taught him to breathe:)

ok
we bought the funhaler now 2 month ago and must say we all love it!
bubby took a while but now he realises what he can do- and LOVES it!
unfortunately we need it quite often (asthma attacks) - but then it was at least worth it and it gets used....

we have one too they are a MUST for young kids who are a bit scared/unsure/unhappy with taking their meds.

Thankfully we've only had to use it twice in the last 6mths:fingerscrossed: heres hoping its only a seasonal thing and not chronic like i had when i was a kid.

Hiya Jess, Bricanyl is also a reliever like ventolin. Infact its basically a sister to ventolin. Not everyone works on the same stuff (as you would know after using ventolin).

Hope this is useful for you
