My baby daughter is 11 1/2 months old and i thought that i should start weaning her off the breastfeed. I dont know how to begin.
She has been exclusively breastfed and has also been on solids for over 6 months. She has never wanted to take a bottle. I have given her a sip of cows milk this week, but she didnt really take to it. How am i supposed to go about this, is there other alternatives? Is water enough combined with cheese, yoghurt etc? How much solids should she be eating and does this take the place of breastmilk?
Also i was wondering if it is normal for babies to stick their fingers down their throats. She does it usually after eating, while in highchair. She gags and it really bothers me as i dont know why she is doing it (and it makes me feel sick!) thank you
