View Full Version : wax on, wax off
just been watching the karate kid on cable. i haven't seen that movie for eons and i've been remembering how we all used to run around chanting 'wax on, wax off' and try doing the flying crane stance. i wonder whatever happened to ralph whats-his-name?
macchio or machio....i used to think that he's a cutie...
ps look what i just found in google:
Where are they now?
He (Ralph Macchio) had some follow-on success after Karate Kid as a budding bluesman in the movie Crossroads. He married wife Phyllis in 1986 and today they have 2 children. He is a writer and director, credits include the HBO series Love Thy Brother
don't you just love google!! thanks for the update on ralph macchio...i used to think he was gorgeous too.
yw Spencersmum (hows the packing going btw?)
yes indeed, go google!
oh btw the link for the quote above is: WEHT.net-Whatever Happened To (http://www.weht.net/WEHT/Ralph_Macchio.html)
its like Forbes.com but more into gossip news he he
and here I was thinking this was a thread about Brazilians.....
ooooh, siobhan, you've just made my eyes water :D
i still hear that 'wax on, wax off'now because we bought the kids the karate kid trilogy and they loved it. My 10 year old now thinks hes a karate expert  and the nine year old who actually does karate just rolls his eyes at him. funnily enough though noone has offered to polish my car or paint the fence (sigh!) :D it was hilarious watching with the kids though and seeing all the daggy eighties clothes- we thought we were soooooo cool!
I think you've started your kids' education off very well, Mumof four. When they get a bit older you'll have to introduce them to Molly Ringwald and her three John Hughes films - Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink.
