I want to get Married!

Hello to everyone,

Well I have been with my partner for 6.5yrs and we have know been engaged for 1.5yrs. We have 2 beautiful boys. And well the truth is I just want to hurry up and get married. Don't get me wrong we are in a very happy and healthy relationship apart from the usual disagreements know and again. We were meant to get married before DS1 was born (over 2yrs ago) but that never happened.
How do I tell him?
Do I just ask or tell him straight out?
Am I just jealous as DF sister is planning her wedding and getting married next year?

Just tell him how you feel. Do you want bug wedding or a small wedding? Maybe start planning a few things and try and get him involved. Best of luck.

I would just ask him. He has been with you all this time I am sure he won't mind if you get things going. If your engaged just start planning, bring home some bridal books and start organising. You have had the proposal so he wants to marry you!!

Hubby popped the Q to me after dating less than 12 months, after 2 years of being engaged I realised the wedding wasn't going to happen unless I did something about it! LOL He had done his bit and now it was my turn!

This is exactly what I did: get stuck into bridal sites, magazines, start deciding what dress/invitations/etc you want, in full view of your fiance', occasionally asking what he thinks of this or that. When you've decided a few things and he's had a bit of time to get used to the idea it's going to happen soon, set up getting the invitations printed and ask him what date he'd like on them!

Be open to discussing the date for as long as it takes, took us 3 months to find a suitable date. (mainly due to family being busy or out of town or not able to come as my family live interstate).

Thanks Ladies and well he didn't actually proposed to me either well he did but he didn't we were actually talking about it then about a week later on my birthday he asked so yeh I spose thats a proposal hey.
