Sore nipples - 40 weeks

Hi All, I just posted this message in the General Health bit - but thought I would post it here too.

Hi All, this is my first time so be gentle! I am due tomorrow (at long last) and have noticed that my nipples are really sore and tender, probably from about a week or so ago - is this normal?? I forgot to mention it at my OB appointment but they look okay as far as I can tell. I am hoping that all of my hard house work today will push things along tomorrow - I am just about at the end of my patience (in a nice way) of this big belly in front of me!!

Sounds pretty normal to me :) Mine have been a bit sore for a week or so...but I was due 2 days ago and I'm still waiting for bub to come :(
Hope the housework works for you, coz it doesn't seem to be working for too many nov mums.

Sore nipples are perfectly normal!It's all our lovely end-of-pregnancy hormones kicking in!Mine have been sore and achey for about 3 weeks now!Good luck with everything and congratulations!!

Looks like we have the same EDD (12/11) - hope all goes well for you:)

I have to say mine havent been too sore recently but it comes and goes a bit ive found with me.

Thanks ladies for your replies, it's just good to hear others have had the same experience, the books I have just talk about sore nipples and breast feeding so was hoping it was "normal"!!

I am now officially fed up with being pregnant, this baby is being very stubborn!! I am booked to be induced next week if things don't get moving naturally this week - will have to crank up those home remedies this week I think!!

Cathyn - has your bub obliged you and arrived yet?? A girl - you lucky thing!! I don't know what we're having, but if this one is a boy then I will be hoping for a girl next time.
