Hi Kellie,

I am a pea pods fan. I must admit many people say what you pay for is what you get. And I have to admit I am only a part time user atm. I am currently sewing my own MCNs as it is cheaper again.

I have a 6 month baby boy and the only leaks we have had are around bodysuit edges in the crotch area due to wicking. I have found that currently after 6 washes they are much more absorbant than 3 washes.(They say 6 - 10 washes is ideal) As a budget nappy they are great. The start up costs are good and therefore I can invest in them and as I go try more expensive brands from the money I am saving not using disposables. Haven't tried them at night though.

best to google other forums such as nappycino etc too.

DS is trying out his first peapods tonight. He's actually asleep in it right now, so it'll be interesting to see how it fares. I think price wise it's pretty good, the fit is great and it washed well. So as far as absorbency, i'll have to let you know. But cost-wise they are a very affordable pocket nappy.

Hi Mylo,

Please let me know about nigt sleep and let us know how it goes. How long is a night sleep and are you using the microfibre night booster you can buy separate?

I have boosted my Pea pods with microfibre cleaning cloths from coles as with my home made jobs and it has really helped.

Not working for us anymore- I was so impressed to start with, as a budget nappy I thought they were unreal. They do have positives- soft and flexible, snap fastenings, comfy and all... But I just couldn't stop them leaking once she got a bit older.
What works for one, doesn't for another. I'd join nappycino and have a look at some of the detailed reviews there, they're great

Well he's awake, didn't stay asleep for long. I have it boosted with the microfibre night booster aswell as the normal insert at the moment. It's still going well, no leaks.

I'm using peapods on my 3 week old after having lots of leaks with dispoables. For the cost they are great. Only had one leak and this was because the insert wasnt pushed all the way to the edge of the nappy, so now i make sure the insert is all the way to the elastic and no leaks. She doesnt sleep long enough yet for a night nappy, we are still changing her about 4-5 times a night so dont know how long they would last yet.

As far as pockets go I like them. We don't use them any more as I prefer fitteds, but they are a great easy and cost effective nppy. On occassion we also used it at night.

Definately not made for nights. They are great to build up your stash. If you have a heavy wetter extra boosting is a must. They are great for the price

I looovvveee my peapods. I've been using them for about 6 months without problems.

I always add a microfibre booster though. They also will last all night if I add a Cotton Babies microfibre insert (they hold quite a lot).

All in all they are a great "workhorse" nappy. Fantastic for childcare as well.
