hello,

We are having our DD naming ceremony in 3 weeks and I was just wondering if anyone has any nice ideas to make it extra special. I noticed that someone mentioned releasing a dove... things like that. I am at a bit of a loss :(

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

hi! i wrote a poem for each of my childs ceremonies and read it out at the service :) my dh also wrote about his hopes and dreams for them and read a passage from the bible (altough not for you if your not religious lol, although some people still like to do it anyway)

someting else you could do (which we are doing for dd 1st bday) is get everyone to write on a piece of paper each, what they hope for your little girls future, this can then be sealed away in a nice box and then they can be read out at her 18th/21st!
good luck and have fun :)

Great idea......At ds dedication (afterwards) we got everyone to say something on video (like a video diary) so that we can play it at his 21st!!
I'm sure it will be laugh in years to come!! Plus the great grandparents are on it, which i'm sure probably wont be around by then so that makes it pretty special!! :)
