finger foods like a fruit platter, cold meat platter, dips, chips, sandwiches in little triangles, mini quiches ect.
Love the singlet idea - very unique!
i wouldn't worry about gift bags.
My brain isn't working too well this time of night for thinking about games. I'll get back to you on that one:D
Well my sister is hosting my shower and as she is so disorganised, I've planed all the food, games and prizes and she'll just take the credit on the day .
For the games I've decided to play,
Baby Word Scramble: You just have a list of baby items or things regarding to babies and scramble the letters up of the words and whoever gets all the words unscrambled first gets a prize.
Baby Sketch Game: Give each guest a paper plate and a pen and tell them to draw a picture of a baby and they have 30 seconds to finish the drawing. However instead of doing the drawing with the plate in front of them, they have to hold the plate on top of there heads, whilst they are drawing. The mum to be judges which pic is the best or funniest and that person gets a prize.
How Many Baby Items Can You Name: Have each person write down as many baby products as they can with in 5 minutes. Give a prize to the woman who gets the most baby products named.
Baby Shower Bingo: These one is hard to explain but sounds heaps fun...I can pm you the instructions and things you need for this game.
Guess How Many Jelly Babies In The Baby Bottle: I'm using M&M's instead. They are yummier lol.
Pass The Parcel
As For prizes for the games, I've decided to buy cute cheap pretty things that woman would like: A pretty pen, pretty soap, mini photo album, mini address book, letter set, chocolates, mini make-up bag.
As for food:
A platter from Subway.
Jatz, Dip
Lamingtons
Rollettes
Donuts
Chocolate Biscuits
Drink: Coffee, tea, juice/punch, softdrink...what ever you fancy.
Hope some of these ideas help.

Is that guess the weight of bubs or mum? :)
JMO but if it is guess the weight of mum I don't think it's a good idea? My friend is currently organising my baby shower and she asked if she could do the weight game (of me). Ah no!

*breathing a sigh of relief* :yelclap:
A game we played at my baby shower was guess the baby food. You are blindfolded and have to smell the baby food and taste it. Absolutely disgusting to taste - but funny at the same time.
Nappy timing game - have a doll and cloth nappy, time each guest to get the nappy on and stay on the fastest.
Food wise - we did up a few cracker/dip/kabana and cheese platters.
If it is around lunchtime you could get a frenchstick slice it up and then buy some cold meats and tomato/cucumber/cheese and make little brushettas (have no idea how to spell that one).
Have lots of fun!
This is gross, but I was told it was really funny..
Guess the melted chocolate flavour in the nappy!
There were disposable nappies filled with different types of melted chocolate eg. plain, caramel, peppermint. Everyone had to taste each nappy and guess the flavour of the chocolate.
The lady that told me about it said "you shoulda seen the cherry ripe flavour!!"
eeeeewwwwwwwwwww :D
Hey Greksta, you did a great job hosting the baby shower :) Loved the games, they were fun! Especially cause i won one! hehe!
Big pat on the back for you! lol :yelclap:

I hosted a baby shower for my friend late last year, she was about 32-34 weeks at the time... she had no idea about it though it was a surprise. We told her we were taking her out for the day, so we picked her up and told her we were meeting a friend at my house so we had to go get them.
Anyway she walked into our house and the house was filled with pink helium balloon (about 200 of them) and her friends.
All the food was finger food, except the cake. Umm we only done one game and it was basically just a quiz for everyone to see how well everybody knew her.
Actually we also guessed what date she would have the baby.
It took her over an hour to open the pressies and have a look through everything.... the party went for a good couple of hours it was great.
We did have both males and females at the party which also surprised her alot.
I did also find alot of baby shower decorations at the local party shop, they has little pacifiers for table decorations they has baby shower balloons, plates, serviettes, signs and pinyatas.
I hope any of this could help you in any way.
