View Full Version : Extremely sore spot ~ strange
this is hard to explain but i will try my best...
There is a spot on my right side sort of near my lowest rib that is extremely sore to the touch...
Its odd because its like its not there, no pain at all, until its touched or knocked and then i am almost buckled over in pain, but it also goes away really fast..
Occasionally the way i move my body will also trigger the pain...
Has anyone ever had anything like this... what could it be? There is no external marks at all....

Hi, I think I had something similar... does it hurt to breathe sometimes?
Is your back out or tight (lots of knots?) If so it could be that you're kind of pinching the knot/a nerve... I know that sounds kind of weird but apparently there are parts of of your back that don't have pain nerves so it gets transferred (sp?) to the front... If you know someone who is taller then you get them to give you a lift (hands behind your head and get them to slip their hands through you arms and place their hands over your hands and lift.) if not a massage in the same spot on your back can help.
My MIL had pains like this she went and had her heart tested with an ecg and other related tests, they found nothing and I suggested this to her and she had a lift surprise surprise no pain.

Definitely sounds like the gall bladder. My pain started at my right shoulder blade point, but then radiated to just beneath the lowest rib on the front right hand side - and OH MY GOD  painful - so painful!!
Thanks guys.. my Mum has had gallbladder issues also so perhaps its connected to that.. i guess a trip to the Gp wont hurt....
antlmummy- i'll get DH to do a lift also

Yeah, bit sick of Hazellew. I wanna keep Hazel in there somewhere. I want a clever name. Like yours, or PoshBecks, or Misskittyfantastico. I'll probably keep it as Hazellew for a while, but I'm planning a GIANT overhaul. Signature, name, avatar... THE WORKS!!
I feel too boring!!:(
well i await with baited breath :D

Hey Trace, I had something similar a few weeks back... mine felt like it was just under the skin. Not nessasarily an organ iykwim.... it went away after a week or so.
Dont know really if thats what yours is, but ifr you are wooried at all talk to your doc

Thanks for asking JenNT... To be totally honest i never saw a doctor :o The pains went away but i do still have some back pain and issues after some foods.. i think it is my gall bladder..... so anyway i am doing a gall bladder cleansing in a week or so and then i am going to see how i feel...
I will see the doctor anyway though... i will.....

YOu better!!! :hugs:
Please do see a doctor and ask about a liver function test ... it can cause similar pains to this if it is inflamed.
