I have decided that I will use flatties with DS when he is born and wanted to know what you other flatties mums actually have in your stash??
I have a couple of covers from baby beehinds that i bought recently but now need to buy everything else.
Anyone willing to share what they actually use with their flats?

I have terry flats. For covers I just brought the el chepo target, big W and kmart covers- and they work so well. They are $4 each!!!!
I use snappies and i get my liners from big w
I have a collection of MCN now though so I only use the flats if everything else is in the wash.....
I had every intention of using MCN but the initaial outlay was a bit too much so terrys were a great option to start with while i built my stash up- hence the reason I brought the cheap covers:D
I have to say those covers are great though!!

I have about 40 terry flats a bunch of snappies, some covers, pul, fleece and now wool.
If I want to make them super absorbent for nights I use a hemp booster from cherubs kiss I prefer the deluxe booster. Then just a cover.
We use terry flats and we have one lone bamboo flat, that is just gorgeous and silky. Snappis or pins depending on whether I can find the snappi  but pins don't bother me and good quality covers, either Baby Beehinds or Bummis Super Whisper Wraps, Jamie's fleece, HoneyBoy Covers or gorgeous knitted wool soakers.
Oh I have about 5 dozen terry flats. And assorted covers, also have a stash of MCN as well. I like diversity :)

can someone explain what MCN is?? I have seen it a few times but don't know what it is.
I have just gotten out my stash, I have 23 terry/flannel flats, and about 8 cheapy covers.
My sil made me this thing out of velcro, it looks like a giant "T", you lay baby on it, after the nappy is on, then you cross it over his front, then up through the legs, and then the velcro does up, and its easy, and you just throw it in the wash when it gets wet etc, brilliant, cause I just cant keep snappi's to stay put!
If you need a diagram, Ill try to draw one.
MCN = modern cloth nappies:thumbsup:

so I assume MCN are usually considered to be the fitted or AIO etc??? as opposed to just the terry toweling ones?
Ooh, how nice would it be, I may be able to afford a couple with the baby money. lol, ebay is crazy with prices of MCN's.
lol, Im too scared Id trash a MCN in the wash, and trust me, I would..
lol, sorry, I missed the question what a MSN was, lol, read it without it......Sorry!!
:yelclap: you for using cloth!!!
I don't use flats, but have heard the Canningvale terry flats from David Jones (I think someone said $39 / 12 flats) were the absolute best! Super soft and really thirsty  I'm thinking of grabbing a packet to do some tie dyeing with and give them away as pressies...

Have PMed you!
I do have a few flats. I like them but not too crash hot with folds unfortunately. All I can say is invest in quality covers - wool for night.
I started cloth with flats and 2 wool soakers then built from there with mcn and wool covers.
