Hi
I moved to the Ipswich area a few months back and am yet to make any new friends. I was thinking of getting a new playgroup started in my area. I have a son that has just turned 2 and he would love to make some friends. There is a lovely park within walking distance of my house (I dont have a car) that I think would be perfect. It is fenced (which is good my toddler loves to take off like a shot at parks) and it has a gazebo with tables and chairs. It is the East Ipswich honour playground on Chermside Rd. If you are interested message me. I was thinking tues or Wed morning would be good but we can sought that all out.
Thanks
Linda

I'm from Ipswich, but I too don't drive. My daughter is almost 18 months...
Perhaps if you made it at a neutral area that is easily accessible by train (I can't possibly fathom figuring out buses with a toddler!)... then I would consider coming along...

I am hopefully moving away soon :D but until we go, I'd like to come along. Sassy, I'd be more than happy to offer you a lift. Oh hmm, car seats...I don't know how many bolts my car has. Is she big enough to go in a high-backed booster seat? I have one of them but I can't remember when it is safe to use them.
Hey there Linda, I can't remember If we have talked before, but your user name looks familair, I would be interested in coming along on Tuesday or something, I live at Raceview, which is vertually around the corner from you... I go to a playgroup at Raceview on Wildey Road on Wednesday mornings from 9.30-11.30. It cost $1 and you get two mothers nights out which is good to catch up with other mums and have time out without kids lol. So if you are also interested in coming to that, it would be great, they are in need of more people due to alot of children leaving to go to prep this year...I have a spare car seat etc and would be happy to pick you & your son up if you were interested.... They are great friendly people! good for the kids to play as well. If you are or anyone else that lives in the area PM me :)

Hi
Just wanted to let everyone know that East Ipswich Memorial park is within walking distance of the Ipswich East train station so you can catch the train if you need to.

Hi there,
We're in Booval and was wondering if anyone know if there's any playgroups around this area. I don't have a car or drive yet (hopefully I'll get my licence soon) so anywhere near Booval Fair or train station would be excellent. Bub is 14 months old and mobile now so I thought it's about time for him to join a playgroup and meet new friends. In addition, I would like to meet some new friends/mums as well that is living in Ipswich. Many thanks.
Cheers,
Amelin
