My bub is bottlefeed, she is 5wks old. She usually hs around 120ml's 6/7 times a day, but all of a sudden she seems to want more. Can anyone tell me how much their babies had when they were that age. Im really not sure if i should up her feeds or not, and Im not going to clinic sister until the 21st. :confused:

Bubs go through growth spurts when suddenly they seem ravenous. I always feed a hungry baby and ignore the numbers recommended on the side of the formula tin. They're only guidelines anyways. If she's draining it regularly then offer larger bottles and see how she goes. Even formula fed babes know when they're full and will back off the bottle when they're full. If you allow bub to self-regulate her food intake she's unlikely to end up "overweight". You may find that she settles back down to a lower intake, or drops a feed, in a few days or weeks.

Also, remember that if you were breastfeeding you'd have no idea how many ml she was taking and would just feed till she was content and stopped nursing. So follow the same rule for formula feeding.

I think i was giving ds 150ml of formula at that age.....
